Ah, that makes sense, in the crudest possible way. 
Nothing makes any sense for several episodes. That’s one of the things I liked about it.

The character style didn’t appeal to me either. They looked like Batman characters.
It was very similar to Batman in a lot of ways, especially with the detective stuff. It does sort of go insane about halfway through.

I did not realize Gonzo made anime, he is more talented than I thought… 
I already watched the Skycrawlers movie… Depressing but interesting.
