“And behold, I shall be a blight upon the land,
and everything I touch shall wither and die.”
OK, starting at :20.
Le sigh.
“Hear that? You could poach an egg in this water.”
Um, can’t you do that in any water?
I’m back. Good for one more.
I take it you haven’t seen any of these either?
This show is set in the future, when Bruce Wayne is an old man. A high school kid is the new Batman. It’s much more sci-fi, as you can see.
OK, what’s the premise with this one? Future-bats?
I’ve always felt so sorry for Mr. Freeze. I mean, he’s not a bad guy. He’s just unable to move on after his wife’s death.
OK, so it sort of Nightwing Ultimate?
Who’s the Powers guy?
Freeze looks like something out of Hellboy.
Actually, Nightwing’s still around and occasionally makes appearances.
Basically, Batman 2.0.
Who’s the Powers guy?
He was running Wayne Enterprises when Bruce retired. He got poisoned and was irradiated to deal with it, with the unfortunate side effect of making him a walking nuke…
So, taking your cat for a walk on the El is something you do in the future?
Also, does it only snow/get cold at Powers’ place?
I like Grumpy Ol’ Bats.
Yeah, never understood either. Artistic license, I suppose.
I’d hate to be a weatherman in Future Gotham.
Yeah, I was telling 'Talos that he reminds me of Clint Eastwood in Gran Turino.
Somehow, I thot you’d relate.
BTW, Barbara Gordon is now Police Commissioner. She and Nightwing regularly give Bruce craaap about bringing another innocent kid into his madness. Terry’s father was murdered by Power’s henchman, so there was a connection…
Up for the next episode?
Start at :45.
It’s hard to be a henchman.
K. May bail a tad early, but let’s keep on.
The DC Fantastic Four?
