No kidding. Strange to think he’s walking around the station like that
The last ten minutes were so dense with mythology. So, so much, and everything builds upon it from there…
My father grew up a few towns away from Coventry. My grandmother had been sent there to get her out of the path of the Luftwaffe.
Did she get out OK?
“If you go to Za’ha’dum, you will die.”
OMG !
That certainly brings it close to home.
OMG !! That certainly brings it close to home. Your grandmother was ok?
If I remember correctly, this aired first elsewhere (England?) and the only way we could see it early here in Eugene was via some tapes that a member of our local community got.
The ‘Shadow of Za’Ha’Dum’ party was pretty wicked, excellent episode.
Ops, I didn’t mention that she was from the coast, near on airdome. My great-grandparents wanted to get her away from that.
She died when I was about 10 or 12.
That really is a central line for the entire series, isn’t it?
Yes indeed. There’s so much in it.
My grandmother used to tell me stories about shaking her fist at the German planes as they flew over.
I’ve been to Coventry several times. They left the bombed out cathedral and built the new one next to it.
That’s amazing.
The Shadows are great villains. They get more wicked, more frightening, the more you learn about them.
It always feels that the episodes are over too soon.
It always blows me away when I think about how long the Shadows have been Villians. Over a thousand years !! And practice makes perfect.
Joss Whedon once said that a tv episode is a question, as opposed to a movie which is an answer.
Ok, I’m off to bed. Night all
Very good.
'Night WashIsMyHero.
I’ve got to disagree, the Shadows do plenty of things that seem villainous, but their motivations are understandable and designed to make us better. The Vorlons are equally ‘villainous’, just in a different way, I feel.
