Anyone ready to frak?
I’m here. Want to wait for Keara?
Sure, got an ETA?
Your guess is as good as mine.
Let’s start at :30, either way.
Chapter 5: The King of Omashu
-Introduces the Earth city of Omashu.
-Introduces the character of Bumi, a long-time friend of Aang.
-Introduces a running gag of the series, the “My cabbages!” guy.
-It is my opinion that this episode is far more clever that it appears on first look.
OK, begin at :30.
Why are the chosen ones always disappearing when the world needs them most?
Arguably, the buildings at the South Pole don’t melt either.
Love crazy Bumi!
That’s when the invisability kicks in?
We always want what we don’t have. Change has to come from outside ourselves, or so we think.
Also love the cabbage guy who we see again…and again throughout the series.
I love the single cough in the background after a bad joke.
The whole chamber thing feels like Monty Python.
His disguise reminded me of Vash the Stampede.
And the cough returns!!
So do the three tasks.
Oh crap! Rabbit!
LOVE Flopsy!!! This whole episode was cleverer than it first appears while you are watching it.
He chose…poorly.
Why are the crystals growing in a conical pattern, but opposite directions to each other?
