Android phone OS lover

sounds fun, but also killing batteries at the same time…

few games i fell in love with:

Bubble Blaster 2

I probably talked about this one before but it is still so much fun

Go Free

Free Go game. If you like intellectual games, this is the mother ship. It’s one of the few games that computers still can not defeat a human champion. This game when set to level 10 can defeat any intermediates. When set on level 1 can make any noob feel they are a genius. Very well designed, great game.

x-construct

I loved this game so much, i bought it… you are given a limited number of construction materials and you have to build a bridge for a train to safely cross. Warning, do not play this with sound on on an actual train… cause chances are you are going to scare a bunch of people when your bridges’ structural integrity fails, like me…

Any one round here tried out any of them, I’m in the market, for a tablet, and Im concidering the xoom, or maybe the flyer.

Played with xoom, iPad and playbook, got to say iPad was pretty light, and thin but the screen wasnt all that good, seeemed blurry.playbook had great screen and the ui was awesome, but it was a little small. Xooms screen was great size and resolution. But interface was a little clunky and the thing was a little heavy. So far Im thinking xoom.

Really? I’ve only heard negative things about the UI.

I liked it a lot reminds of the palm webos. it was intuitive and interesting if the playbook came with a bigger screen and I could trust there being a healthy app ecosystem someday. I would be very tempted indeed.

I seem to remember complaints that it didn’t feel Android-like. That would explain why.

Also the Play Book is still half baked. To get email on it it has to take it from you BB. Not the best thing to do if you want a PB and don’t want or need a BB.

Most Androids apparently have a vulnerability. Upgrade if you are able.

Okay so I have a confession to make, I loved the zune hd there I said it, I had to order it from the states but I just loved the thing to peices until it broke fittingly enough Damn you washing machine. (waits for evil music cue) any how I move on and Windows phone 7 the metro UI looks very slick and pretty, but I’m not sure of the app situation and since I’m still mid way through my contract with Satan, I mean the great folks at Rogers telecom. I figure what the hey in year or so ill see where Windows phone 7 is app and OS wise. Well I just found two interesting apps, one is called launcher 7 and its pretty good skins for Android to wp7 its a little clunky to set up but once your done its darn cool, and good way to see if you would like wp7

But the really awesome one is, is for the moment called fed’s music app, its still in early alpha made from the same guy as launcher pro one of my fav apps. And we come back to my love for the zune, cause that is what it is but for android, you can sideload the alpha version, but it still needs a good amount of work,

There is nothing wrong with the zune! I’ve never had one but I always liked the idea of one. I wish I could get an android device without spending way too much money though. Would like to have both my ipad and the android OS to actually evaluate both.

Last I heard Samsung is putting out a 4 and 5 inch android personal media player, basically a galaxy s without a phone, Should be awesome and relatively inexpensive, ipod touch pricing,

as for tablets I’m a fiend when it comes to android, I love messing with it and rooting around. If you don’t enjoy that give the android tablets a year then give them a try. Hardware wise you can find better tablets than the iPad now, but the software and apps aren’t there yet, they will be, like with the phones it took a year. Still I have a xoom fund.
