Okay, Green Lantern 44. 2 old men I don’t care about, one a mass-murderer and the other 25 years dead hang out in a grave yard and then fight a zombie martian.

A comic with a zombie martian that I don’t like. Never thought it would happen!

I am looking forward to the Xanshi ressurection though, I loved Cosmic Oddessy, maybe it’s going to be the Black Lantern version of Mogo?

Looking forward also to them tying in Green lantern Corps, Guy and Kyle are at least interesting characters, or they were when I last read it, Guy’s probably a goofy teacher again, and Kyle’s probably been set back to a wimp.

It wasn’t the worst Geoff johns book of the week though, Legion Of Three Worlds, Wow, what happened there? It started well, but really, resetting the Legion back to the 70’s? It’s gone beyond a theme for DC and become a trope!

Best book of the week was Captain Britain and MI-13, but it was a BIG week for me, Guardians Of The Galaxy and Invincible were great too.

Apparently I really don’t, Blackest night is becoming an experiment in endurance for me now.

It might be a case of wanting EPIC and getting good enough. My expectations aren’t as high. Not that I wouldn’t like it. Just that you have to play to your audience. Now if this was a one off series that had better art and dialog and fully bound. That would be another story.

My problem is I and all know where this is going. It’s a marketing tool to bring back some of the heavy hitters in DC. Do I have a problem with that, not soo much. Just that I have been there done that too many times in comics.

As it is I still say that DATA got pulled out by Q at the last moment in Nemesis. Sadly we won’t see him again unless there is movie done, oh well.

I’ve been reading it in trades too. Most people,Ifanboy, and me recommend jumping straight to The Sinestro Corps War Trades , which are two volumes that include Green Lantern,and Green Latern Corps in a giant war. After that Secret Origin, and Rage of the Red Laterns are next. Even though Secret Origin is before rebirth , it reads better after The Sinestro Corps War.(Otherwise your reading Hal Jordan becoming a Green Latern twice in a row.)
Its definitely a fun way to spend some money but totally worth it. I’m on Secret Origin. Apparently there is one more trade to come out before The First Blackest Night trade.

The second one from the right I thought that was a ring with the star sapphire symbol. I haven’t read all the books in this series so I’m probably wrong. It just reminded me of them.

It is a ring with the Star Sapphire symbol, they have rings now.
