I’d rather have the wife and child tbh, but I’m determined to attend the meet up either way, so off to see the wizard (s) I go.

Oh, man. I’ve been trying to remember the name of this game for so long. I remember it was never a “premium” game in the arcade I went to, and I never had the chance to see somebody with money play it. Boy, that game was RIGHT up my alley. I probably had more fun imagining where it was all going. I would still love to see a video of the whole thing played out though.
Incidentally, my vote is for humanity because we no longer use he as the default pronoun either.
Finally, there’s been so much talk about classic arcade games lately. Here’s one I’ve been thinking about, Zaxxon. I probably would’ve played it simply for having a realistic throttle stick.
I second that! Captian Ron is awesome!
Also, thanks for playing, mentioning my calls!
Reporting back on the classic laser disc games. There were two: Cliff Hanger and Cobra Command. Sadly, they were much better in my memory and imagination. Here’s some video:
I had to watch a few minutes of this one before I really recognized it. It’s about at the 3:55 mark that I would crash into a building just about every time.
ZAXXON! Man, that game’s wacky controls were WAY too much for my pre-teen spatial skills to handle.
Zaxxon, now there’s a ColecoVision flashback
Hrm, not sure why I remember it being called Cliffjumper when the actual name makes more sense. Watching that video brought back some memories. I also remember that when you failed to hit the action button or correct joystick direction, it triggered a “death” scene usually involving Cliff shouting that horrid “Oh Noooo”.
