OK, this is obnoxious. I just found out that the airline I booked charges a fee for carry on bags. And it’s more than the checked bag fee, so I guess I’ll be checking a bag instead.

Call back and pick option 2 on the automatic menu and leave a message for Erin Martin. She’ll be able to take care of your reservation at the GWC rate. They tried telling me the same thing but Erin took care of it.
The one I was thinking was “Don’t Rest Your Head” (urban horror type game) but I’m gaining a familiarity with the Storyteller system thanks to a friend and might be able to pull off something in, say, Scion (play as the child of a god from multiple pantheons). If there’s interest I could try to help people put together characters before the meetup so it doesn’t take time out there.
I got the rate for the nights offered, but it’s $110 for the other nights (since I’m coming in Wed and leaving Monday), looking really forward to this (and the super-cheap flight, woot!!), I needed this getaway, I’m glad I’m doing this!!!

Who are you flying with? I am wondering if we may be on the same flight since I am flying down Wed and leaving Mon from Newark…send me a DM with your details and we can figure it out from there. There are a couple other peeps who will be there Wed or early Thurs.

As for the room rates that sounds funny since most of us got the Rate for the full stay, but not sure of all of the details.

I’m going South West through Houston (it does suck to fly past Dallas to go back to it but the price was too good to complain!)

Any idea how far the hotel is from love field?? I have an ex who’s working in Dallas and she’s offering to drive me to and fro the airport! I haven’t been to Dallas in like 10 years I’m excited about this…gotta make a drive-by on Jerry World too!!
I am flying Southwest through Houston too! I am almost betting we are on the same plane. I will have a car, so if we are on the same plane you can ride with me if you want, up to you.
I have no idea about how far Love Field is since I normally fly into DFW.

If I can’t carpool, what is the best way to get from airport to hotel? It seems silly to rent a car just to drive once each way.
that’s pretty funny actually…my flight leaves Newark at 9:20 am, I’ve never flown into Love Field and I was kinda curious

I’m so used to flying alone it’s gonna be trippy to travel with someone!!
Maybe call the Hotel and see if they have a shuttle? Most hotels that are close to airports do have shuttles
If not I’m sure you can get a cab unless someone else is coming in the same time you are
Yup, that is the flight I am on. I too am very used to travelling alone that it will something different for me too. I’ll be coming up on the train (the NE line), but we’ll have to exchange numbers and we can hang out before the flight and stuff too…
This is the first time I have flown SW at all, so it will be a new experience all around.
I am almost positive that we will be able to pick up. Normally people come in in bunches, and if not close enough that someone will wait. Barring that there are often a couple of us (Topgun/Gryper I am looking at you ) who will run and get people if timing doesn’t work. Once I start to get more people’s stuff I start to make contacts amongst folks who are renting cars and those that need rides.
Once you get to the hotel we all just make sure that everyone who wants to go to an event has a ride - no GWCer left behind.
Sorry Rae, I’m not going to be there this year to be able to pick up /drop off anyone. 
I’m sure others will step up to the plate for rides though!
