Yeah, I will barely have enough vacation time accrued by SDCC in July as it is. It’s not accruing fast enough to do both.

Love Field is closer to the Downtown Dallas area. It’s smaller than DFW, and much easier to get in and out of. You’re looking at about a 30-45 min drive to the hotel, depending on traffic.
Rae- I’ll be in the Dallas area by about 12 noon on Friday. Happy to pick up anyone who needs a ride up from either airport!

If we’re starting to pull together arrival times and associates car rentals/rides/hitch-hiking, looks like I’m tumbling to the ground at DFW on Thursday at 2:30pm. Who else will be in the area that early?
Your best bet is to DM me, that way I can keep track of it, and let the associated parties know who is picking up who, or who is carpooling with who.
Send me the flight details (carrier and landing time), and contact information. About a week before the event I send out a series of DM’s to each of the groups letting everyone know who has the car, who is arriving when, and all that good stuff.
I am scheduled to land at DFW at 3:06pm on Thursday and am definitely renting a car as my flight back on Monday is too early to bother anyone for a ride at that time. If you don’t want to rent and don’t mind waiting you can ride with me. I’ll send my info to Raemani to sort out but keep me in mind.

I think, knowing my ability to keep myself (and random passers-by) amused rather easily, I think I can kill 30 minutes in a baggage claim area. Might brush up on my “Mime with Tourette’s” routine.

Weirdly enough, I don’t think we do. I seem to remember the game stores we frequent are always sold out of it. We have the card game and decks for all four major houses + Martells and Greyjoys, though.
Lady D and I will be arriving in DFW at 1:55 PM on Thursday afternoon. And we’re grabbing a car. We’ve got 2 people riding in with us already, so I’d assume we can fit one more (or two more really friendly folks with no issues of squeezing together or sitting on laps, or riding in the trunk, or the roof…) to get to the hotel from the airport.

Well, will wonders never cease…looks like I’m coming home TDY after all! Who says the Government can’t get their collective shit together in times of crisis? Will need to rent a car to get to Dallas, but should make at least part of the meetup and see some of you! Yay me!

Sad to report, but my plans for that weekend have changed due to work, and I won’t be able to come. I haven’t cancelled my room yet, but when I do, I’ll leave instructions to make it available for another GWC’r. Have fun, and I’ll miss you guys.

Just released my room back to the hotel. The agent assured me that the room would remain in the GWC pool and still be available at the $89 rate, so if any of you are still in need of rooms, you may want to call soon.
