I made my iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch app free for the weekend to see if I can use the jump in downloads to get more sales starting next week. The market for apps aimed at time travelers and people who are concerned they may accidentally travel backwards in time is more limited than I thought (I’ve sold about a hundred copies total, there’s little risk of retiring on the proceeds of this), so I figured I’d give away a bunch this weekend! My hope is that you’ll all download this, say “My goodness, this is rather a nice bit of clever idea, pip pip” in a classical British accent then you’ll tell all your friends that they really should immediately purchase their own copies.

If you are CERTAIN you’ll never find yourself stuck in the past, reliant only on your wits, dim recollections of school plus whatever you have on your iPhone, then you should not download this.
But if you’re willing to carry a bunch of historical data + sports history + various ‘sure bets’ that would make you rich anywhere during the last few hundred years on the off chance it happens to you, then perhaps taking a moment to install this would be a good idea.
Additionally, if you can’t get any of your friends to install this but instead find yourself relying on the data in the app to become wealthy in the past, please consider setting up some sort of trust to pay out a portion of your monies to me sometime soon, I could use the cash!
