Did anyone listen to the joke Zarek was telling Racetrack?
It was a priest pedophilia joke.
Something like, “And he turned from the Kid and the attorney said ‘Frak him’ and the Priest said, ‘Do we have enough time?’”
Thats just realllllly creepy timing for a joke like that.
Zarek is a piece of work
Along with the whole Anders thing, I’m not sure how much I like Racetrack anymore.
I agree, and Racetrack was there laughing it up with Zarek. Oh Racetrack, what a disappointment.
And Seelix, another disappointment.
Is that what he said? I couldn’t make it out. Now I’m glad I didn’t. The laughter from Racetrack seemed really canned. Maybe she’s having second thots (hope, hope, hope).
Seelix broke my heart.
I was also nice to see the crazy Starbuck we all know and love. When she came in to rescue Lee and just started popping caps into people I was cracking up. Then when she and Lee were leaving she looked at them and said “Follow me, Please” just hoping to gun down a few more.
Yeah, watching Racetrack walking with Zarek and laughing and joking… well, it made me feel sick.
I didn’t like to watch that scene.
I wondered why Lee and Kara could take out those five heavily armed and armored guards but not a few guards, race track, seelix and zarek.
I don’t know… Look’s like she may have had quite the crush on Zarek…
That makes me feel worse. My favorite girl on the show has been in love with Zarek all this time.
Oh, Racetrack. Seelix…well, her I’m not too surprised about.
I wonder what’s gonna happen to them. How are they supposed to find a new planet to live on if Racetrack’s not on the job??
Good point, Gachnar! If they execute her, they’ll be floating in space for a very long time!
I’ve liked Racetrack from the beginning - heck, she’s survived this long, that means something when you’re a pilot - so putting her with the Zarek crew was disappointing. I hope she comes to her senses.
Seelix I just wanna smack. I don’t know if she was really mad Anders was a Cylon or that he just didn’t hook up with her.
Racetrack’s participation definitely hurt. On the other hand, so many of us feel that we would have mutinied, too. Can we really blame her for being drawn in? She’s always been strongly anti-Cylon (hasn’t been nice to Helo since he came back, for instance). I hope that she was starting to see that Zarek was a creepy, bad powergrabber. Sadly, I can’t bear to watch that ep again to look for clues.
As to Seelix, I am also not surprised. She started out as a deckhand and was 100% loyal to Tyrol (she was one of the first to help with the Blackbird). On New Caprica, she was active in the resistance under Tyrol, Tigh, and Anders. Then they all turned out to be hated Cylons. That must have really frakked with her world view- especially since she respected one so deeply and had a crush on another.
Also, she mutinied on the Poo Barge. We knew she was capable of it.
