I’m glad to see that the odd/even rule is holding up, although it doesn’t bode well for Xi.
it does for XII, though…
I thought I’d give this thread a bump, give all the newbies (and boy, there’s a lot and they’re posting cool thoughts) a chance to vote too
Poll’s closed, Sweetie
Haha, yeah, you’re right. Oh my god, can you see me blushing? :o
And that’s a 33-2 crushing victory for the even-numbered trek movies
Yes. They should stop making odd-numbered ST movies, what are they thinking!
Building on that last comment, Khan really had it all. It’s probably no accident that the writing, direction and production combined the efforts of both Trek veterans and outsiders, like Nicholas Meyer.
Which is one reason I’m hopeful for the J.J. Abrams project. It sounds like it is being helmed by Trek outsiders who nonetheless have a respect and even love for the source material.
Good point, Mike P.
A modest proposal for a simple rule on “abomination” Trek flicks: when Data sings (Insurrection, Nemesis), Trek stinks.
Data also sang on Generations
I rest my case.
I thought the lifeforms song was pretty cool
“Lifeforms,
You tiny little lifeforms
You precious little lifeforms
Where Are You?”
Khhhhhhaaaaaaaannnnn!
[sarcasm]thank you so much for reminding me of that song.[/sarcasm]
I haven’t been able to get it out of my head for going on a month now!!! I’ve even started adapting the lyrics. I heard myself singing the following to my kindergarten class today:
whiteboards
take out your little whiteboards
your markers and your whiteboards
it’s time to write! (doo doo doo doo doo doo doot)
Kkkkkkaaaaaahhhhhnnnnnnn!!!
