"Yes, we can" countdown film festival

We move closer each day to the beginning of a new milestone of American history - January 20th sees it’s first African-American President. And a reversal of many of Dubya’s policies. I reckon a film festival cum rewatch is in order to put ourselves in the mood for change.

Here’s a bunch of ideas for film festival/rewatch :

[ul]
[li]“Farenheit”; “Sicko” & “Captain Mike across America” by Michael Moore
[/li][li]“Recount” by Jay Roach
[/li][li]“W.” by Oliver Stone
[/li][/ul]

I reckon an extended listening Rage against the machine is in order.

Also, here’s some reading material while we’re on the subject :

This is one of the few times I will show my politcs on the GWC Forum. I will not participate in such a countdown as I just don’t feel too celebratory.

This video post discusses one reason why and lets you see me on-screen not wearing my glasses: http://blip.tv/file/1658823

I’m sorry. Right now my state’s senior senator, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, has lower approval ratings with his electorate than President Bush has. It is a topsy-turvy world at the moment. The more of a look I give to the incoming President’s policies, the more I am confused and befuddled.
