Wishful Drinking

I saw Carrie Fisher’s show on Saturday night. It was beyond entertaining and I cannot recall laughing so much over 2+ hours.

The show ends on April 12 - if you can make it, it’s worth your time. The theater is small and intimate. We were in the 5th row and could tell she was wearing the gold bikini under her outfit (I kid, I kid).

I can’t wait until I am old enough to look back and laugh at my life because of (a) rehab; (b) 2 divorces; © mental illness and (d) George Lucas ruining my life. Some day, some day.

She winds down the show with a rather familiar speech and I couldn’t help but saying under my breath “and then I press what?”

I’m so envious. I really wish I could get out and see it, but it’s a bit of a trip from Texas. And there’s probably no way I can find to get out there before the 12th. Oh well. I’ll just have to live vicariously through you.

Has it, or might it yet, be recorded for release as a DVD? I saw a bit of it on TV and she was hilariously cynical-self-deprecating-sad-joyous and very, very funny.

She’s coming to AZ and I think we’re going to go. Sounds like it’s worth the pricey tickets.

If you sit in the front row, odds are you’ll become a part of the show and walk away with a piece of it. Even if you’re not up front, worth every penny!

omg! that was my siggy for so long! how weird!

Carrie Fisher rocks. I’ve seen her at a few cons. She’s always a riot on the stage. I hope this play comes somewhere close to where I live.
