Windows 7 student discount question

My wife is about to graduate from grad school and we were looking at getting her father the windows 7 professional upgrade for $65. My question is this a download or is it an actual disk? I could really use some help on this soon.

I had a student discount offer as well–though it was for fifteen bucks–and it was a straight up download. Don’t know if things have changed, but when I took the offer, I had the option of installing Windows7 on two other computers. Sorry, I know that’s not too helpful.

I have it too and when I bought it I was given the choice of download and getting the DVD for a little extra.

Does the school have a tech store that sells software on the cheap? My school does and thats where I go when I feel the need for some inexpensive software. Also, it comes with the disks

It an online graduate school, so there is not a big campus. one office building that i am award of. its Western Governors University.

In my case (and Steve’s – same school) it’s a disc in the MSDN sleeve. Be careful, though: You can buy the student/education version once, so if you ever want to buy your own you might want to consider that.

Thanks for the advice. For our other computers we are going to get the family 3-pack of “7” Home Premium Upgrade retail. Going to upgrade mother-law’s, maybe my wife’s laptop, and my desktop which currently runs xp pro. I am also going to take it to 64-bit to help my Blender program with everything.

Anyone know anything about the family 3-pack?
