Sweet mother of pearl, this is epic.
David Cronenberg must direct Breaking Dawn. This is surely his movie.
You know, I might be convinced to see that. Or if they make it with puppets, because from this article, I’m gathering that “Breaking Dawn” is basically the Dracula ballet from the end of Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
A werewolf falling in love with a baby. This is why Thomas Edison invented this shit in the first place. So we could see a werewolf fall in love with a baby.
I have to agree. That may well be the greatest moment ever filmed.
Well this is just perfect. first off I tried to like this series, and although I do poke fun it some. I tried, I read the first book, watched the first movie; even got some way through the second book. before i just got to annoyed at the thing and just had to walk away. but after that i may just have to force my way through the dren . to actually see it turn into this circus
and yes this film must be made, my vote on the director… Terry Gilliam
with such an epic movie, shouldn’t they get Michael Bay behind it and throw some explosions into it?
could work; throw in the a tree at sunset montage; a little Buscemi, and a helicopter chase. and were in business
edited to say this that last idea may indeed lead to the end of day’s and not just the bad Arnold movie, the real honest to god pale rider were all screwed end of days. so please Hollywood never do this… I may just have opened Pandora’s box
I stumbled upon that last night…or early this morning, w/e works.
I found it hilarious. if they make Breaking Dawn into a movie…I WILL watch it.
I have to wonder whether scenes in that article really happen. I mean is there someone who actually read the book posting in this thread? Pardon my skepticism, but this is the internet we’re talking about here.
Otherwise, it sounds like he wants to post in the “are you sick of vampire movies?” thread. But, I agree this topic needs its own thread. d:
Still, what was with all the Mormon bashing (no, I’m not Mormon)? It detracted from his otherwise sane arguments.
Judging by the wikipedia page on Breaking Dawn, I think he stayed relatively truthful to the book. Things really happened the way he described it.
as for the mormon bashing, i have to agree with you. the only people that we can made fun of are the Amish people… because they have no way of finding out… (as least according to Craig Ferguson)…
I would actually pay to go see that movie in the theatre, should it be made and done so in line with the book and the article quoted above. Stellar!
see this movie needs to be made merely for the reason i could do posts here like. really why is everyone so upset i mean using your teeth to preform a cesarean is perfectly reasonable if they are sharp enough and sterile. or okay on the surface werewolf on baby action does seem immoral but, if you look at the bigger picture…
this stuff just writes itself.
Roman Polanski could direct it from whatever legal limbo he’ll be in at the time.
Poor taste, I know…
I heard a similar description of the book, minus the profanity, twisted glee, and Mormon cracks. Am I the only one to think that this book will screw up some little girls by convincing them that sex is crazy and painful and they’ll get pregnant and that’ll be even crazier and more painful and they’ll die?
doesn’t really seem as fun without the twisted glee.
well my hope is that the fact that were dealing with mopey; whipped vampires, and lovelorn werewolves, will differentiate reality from crazy?
Ow. I just had a disturbing vision. A shirtless (as always) Taylor Lautner holding a bloody newborn baby with a peculiar smile on his face…
Maybe I don’t want to see this made after all.
i think the book poses more danger to a teenage superman, it will really mess him up…
the ultimate culmination of a century of cinema
Terrifying.
But really folks, whoever said good literature was dead didnt read this book, obviously. I mean, werewolves getting aroused by newborn telepathic human/vampire hybrid babies? You can practically feel the awesomeness flowing over you.
Ain’t that the truth:D
True for most cases, but it’s the … marginal cases that worry me. That said, I must admit that weird images from Breaking Dawn will be the least of their problems.
I hear enough crap about Mormon’s already (my girlfriend is one) and I didn’t think to highly of this guy after I saw his comments and the others…However I was crying in laughter before that.
And I AM a Twihard
Wait…nevermind…
The article is funny. It’s pretty accurate to, and I say that as a fan of the series. The last book has issues and may actually be unfilmable. He does leave a few things out, like how imprinting is something that has been well established in the book series- it did not come out of nowhere. Also Edward does get the baby out with his teeth - but only because something happened that made that the only option (I forget what). The original plan was to do a C-Section as Carlisle Cullen (Edward’s dad) is a doctor.
