Who's the biggest Not-Douche in the fleet?

Ol’ one-eye keeps me going with Helo a quick second.

I’ve never seen Hot Dog’s rash (probably the only one who hasn’t), so I’ll have to reserve judgment there.

Athena

I go with Tigh. He does what’s right ( nowdays) and he doesn’t have to. He could be living on the basestar as a bigger celebrity than Baltar ever was. He could have 5 ways with 6’s 8’s and a little 3 on the side… while realaxing… and not worrying about any of this crap. But he does his job… and sticks by his friends.

I can’t believe I kind of hated on Helo before - he is one of the few main characters (along with Athena and maybe even Tigh) that has their head screwed on right.

Agreed. And, once he came out of the Cylon closet, he’s stopped drinking.

HELO all the way, if it wasn’t for his Cylon wife he should become the new president of the colonies. Hell, he’s done every other position possible

Well… … …no, actually, you’re right. :stuck_out_tongue:

Helo, who always does the right thing, even when it is hellish. Except maybe that whole Starbuck mutiny on the poo barge.

I voted for Tigh, because lately I’ve just been in awe of his level-headedness in the face of ultimate disappointment.

But, my write-in for this category would most definitely have to be: Doc Cottle.

Cottle still rocks in my opinion. Look at how doctorly he acts when performing a pre-natal exam on Six. Look how hard he’s worked to save all lives; human and cylon. Cottle is my favorite character because he is the ultimate pragmatist.

Now I’d have to say Tigh-clops. In the first couple seasons, he wouldn’t have even been close, but finding out he’s a Cylon has actually mellowed him out.

I have to say Lee’s been all sorts of great of this season. He’s the only one really trying to bring both sides of the split together, in a common sense way. So i call awesome on him. Wish he’d smack his father upside the head and yell “think out what you’re doing.” But He’s still the person who’s actually trying to solve this problem effectively.

so he wins the non-douche of the week award of excellence.

My vote goes to Tigh for the reasons you all mentioned earlier. Also, at some point he apparently changed the diaper of Tyrol’s baby.

Helo is a close second, but I’m still not accepting that he foiled Lee’s plan to infect the Cylon with that virus they found on the probe. He may have been following his convictions, but he should have accepted the orders of his superior officers after he expressed his concerns and it was put to a vote.

I voted for Helo, but it’s really the Cylon chrome toasters are the real biggest Not-Douche characters.

What I love about Helo is that he has gone from the most hated to the most respected characters on Galactica. I remember when Helo lovers, we were outsiders, we were bashed, and now…MAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Our plan for world domination is working

I always liked Helo.

Tigh. No contest.

Sure, Helo is the show’s moral compass, standing firm in the face of grey all around him, representing integrity and decency, trust and fidelity, above all, love. And he’s certainly a pretty boy…

But Saul Tigh is human. The most human. And he is what he has made himself. He has declared it in the core speech of the entire series. (‘Crossroads Part II’) He has made the hardest decision of any character (in executing his wife - just because she loved him, and he loved her), and yet he endures.

Baltar survives like a cockroach, swinging in the breeze, preaching this way and that, believing this and that, whatever is expedient and convenient. Saul Tigh draws a line: “I yam what I yam.”

Place me in the Helo club. He has played his prat well in this whole mess. Plus, I hope he going to get a little payback for them endangering his family. Tigh, and Tyrol are two others who have adapted pretty well in all this crazyness. Although I don’t trust Chief…
