Who is the most evil?

What is evil? Who is evil? Who is the most evil? Why?

(I think it’s Boomer…but what do I know…?)

I’d say Cavil. He pretty much set the whole apocolypse in motion just to get back at his parents.

Yeah, I’m with ya there. Boomer’s just messed up. Tory’s ruthless, but not so much evil. Rekha described her as “loyal to a fault”. She’s tried to do the best thing for everyone.

Apollo.

Serial killers, crooked bankers, femme de fatals, and presidential tyrants are generally atractive, charasmatic, and intelligent people who present a ficade of modesty, charity, and self-sacrifice.

“If something seems to good to be true, it probably is.”

We know where we stand with the alcoholics Starbuck and Tigh. We know how far we can push Tory. We know not to trust Boomer. We understand Baltar’s cowardice. And we know where Cavil stands. Because we know what they’re capable of, we know their limits. We can trust their limits.

Apollo’s shirts are too well-pressed. His hair’s too well combed. He’s too well-liked. He’s just too “good”.

Evil always masquerades as good.

Apollo is evil. Really evil. Beware. Trust me on this one…

Now that you mention it, Apollo icecream swirl does look a little evil…

I don’t know, he was still in his nicely pressed shirt during all that fighting during the mutiny. He took off the coat and tie and he had some blood splattered on his face, but otherwise, he was a sharp dressed man. He was James Bond. James Bond’s not evil. Therefore, Apollo isn’t evil.

in the martial arts: Always beware the quiet man in the room.

It means to watch for the unexpected attack. I’d trust Apollo (as long as his daddy wasn’t around) with my life. He’s the one. I think I see three sixes in the curls of his hair–and I don’t mean cylons!

Exactly. How else could Apollo have gained all that weight during his term on Pegasus but with Ice Cream… made from the fat of his enemies!

Ah. Typical Anglo-Saxon response. Guns, blood and gore are perfectly good and moral so long as the bad guys die quick and without evidence of death spasms.

But breasts! Hide the children! Call your congressman! We must rid the big screen of all references to that dreadful act of reproduction, and remove any and all images that inspire people to make love and make life!

Aside: Has anyone here ever wondered why an eighteen-year-old American girl can is mature enough to be in a porno… but he/she can’t have a beer until they’re twenty-one?

Of course! I should have seen it sooner! They called the Pegasus, “The Beast”! Apollo must be the anti-christ who will enslave the nations of Earth when the fleet arrives…

Good thing I’ll be raptured away with the saints. You heathens better invest in Tim Lehay’s series, Left Behind, before it’s too late…

Okay, why isn’t Hera on the list?
Why isn’t Helo on the list?
Why isn’t Adm. Adama on the list?
How about President Roz?

Because the author of this thread didn’t consider that all people vary in degrees of goodness and badness throughout their lives, qualities which are dependent on a multitude of facets of the human experience including nature, nurture, circumstance, and chance.

He also didn’t consider the fact that the way one views “good” and “evil” is based on one’s personal point of view.

I am hungry (an evil, from My Point Of View [mpov]). I am contented after eating a steak (good mpov). A cow died (evil From It’s Point Of View [cpov]) so I could be full (good mpov). What’s “good” for me is “evil” to the cow.

My life depends on it’s death.

The stock market crashes. I lost money (evil mpov). Jim Rogers made money by shorting the market (good from His Point Of View (hpov). What’s “evil” for me is “good” for Jim Rogers.

And don’t get me started on that girl in high school who found a football player more interesting than an expert on Japanimation like me…:frowning:

Norman, sit down some day and think about how many animals have died so you could live. Think about the nice, comfortable clothes you wear that were made by kids in sweatshops in Somewhere, Asia. And, presuming you live in America, consider that the U.S. population consumes 1/2 of the world’s oil supply… 306 million of the over 6.5 billion people on the planet. That means 4.7% uses 50% of the world’s oil, and the other 95.3% get by on 50%.

Over 2 billion people live on less than $2 a day. They make our shoes and clothes.

What’s good for us is evil for them.

Now do you understand why Apollo is downright EVIL???

Cavil, Cavil, Cavil. Mostest evilness.

Based on these choices, I would to say Cavil. Off the top of my head:

[ul]
[li]Killed Daniel[/li][li]Killed off the bodies of his ancestors (Final Five)[/li][li]Put the Final Five into places where they would likely be hurt by their “lives” and the fallout of the attack on the Colonies[/li][li]Engineered the attack on the Colonies[/li][li]Sent Boomer onto the Galactica, and I assume, planned the assassination attempt of Adama, via Boomer[/li][li]Forced his “mother” into a physical relationship (yuck!!!)[/li][li]Tortured his “father”, culminating with the removal of his eye[/li][li]Took the memories of the other six remaining cylons of their creators[/li][li]Since the idea of the one true God came from the Centaurions, he must have limited their functional ability to think and reason[/li][/ul]
I am sure I could come up with a couple more if I think about it, but my initial summary is bad guy.

That’s what I like about Lee… sure, he went through a phase (gained some weight, hated his daddy), but he got over it… and though he’s now in an executive position, he proved in The Oath that he can still kick some a$$ when he has to.

Cavil

Skeevey mother frakking blame it all on your parents cause you didn’t do anything wrong ever Cavil.

Cavil. He’s like the puppet master, or at least wants to be.

Boomer’s disturbed and hurting and lashing out, which is bad (especially because Athena is in a tie for my favorite Cylon, and one of my favorite characters, so this episode was REALLY hard to watch for me) but not necessarily evil. Tori is reveling in having power after being the assistant for so long, but other than killing Cally and being contrary hasn’t done much else evil. Baltar is selfish, but for every questionable thing he does, there’s a questionably good thing that follows it. Sort of.

Cavil’s just pissy and petty and manipulative and wants to make everybody not-him pay.

Sounds like me… ARE YOU TALKLING ABOUT ME??? I’ll get you…

I’ll make you all pay… Muahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahaaaaaaa!!!

My sentiments exactly !

Boxey. I hate that kid. I any BSG series.

Helo? Really? How is Helo evil? I mean - dumb sometimes. Does the wrong thing for the right reasons sometimes. But evil? I don’t buy that. I think evil is about intention. I think for someone to BE evil they have to have evil intentions. Can people DO something evil without BEING evil? Yes. Baltar is a perfect example. What he did (or allowed to be done) was an act of evil but I don’t think that makes him evil.

So in my opinion Cavil, Boomer, and Tory are evil.

Just my two cents.

I voted Tori. The greatest evil, to me, is the lack of a conscience, and Tori cares nothing for anyone save herself.
