Where's Athena: Ellen's comments about Hera in "Deadlock" (spoilers)

I have only watched “Deadlock” once; so if I missed something please let me know.

When the FF, a Six, and an Eight are having one of their discussions about staying vs. leaving the fleet, Ellen mentions that Hera is the future.

Well, I do not think the Eight that was in the room was Athena. And Helo was obviously not invited to the Cylon family meeting.

Soooo, is someone going to get Hera’s parents in on the discussion about her future? Or is Tory (bitch…sorry Barb) going to just kidnap her out of day care when Athena & Helo are on duty?

As I have been asking…why isn’t Athena more involved???

I got the sense that it was given that Athena and Hera would stay with Helo and Galactica. So the choice was stay with the fleet accepting that Hera (human/cylon hybrids) is the future, or leave the fleet and count on the ability of FF and Sig7s being able to reproduce…

It’s a good question though, where is Athena and Helo? When’s the last time we saw them? Someone brought up in the frak party that maybe Tahmoh was busy filming Dollhouse, but it seems unnatural for him to be so absent.

I think the last time we saw Helo was when he was all bloodied up in the brig during the mutiny, and when they made their escape Caprica carried Hera while Athena helped Helo. I may be mistaken, but I don’t think we’ve seen them since then.

I’m pretty sure BSG was already done before he started filming Dollhouse - but I could be wrong.

i wonder if now that cap 6’s baby has died, the cylons see hera as the future again. If they also decide to leave, i could see it playing out where it helo/athena want to stay, and the cylons who see hera as the future feel it necessary to kidnap her from her mother, hence the opera house visions. perhaps cap 6 is the one sent to take her. could get interesting.

And Baltar apparently has a well armed army at his disposal. Maybe they will play a role in Baltar helping Caprical 6 in take Hera as he does in the visions?

Yes I agree, now the vision of Six and Baltar with Hera, the Opera House is center stage again. The vision did not have Six with Hera in one arm and Liam in the other.
Only now we know that Baltar has guns, more guns, bigger guns, better guns.

Yes, and they reminded us of the Opera House visions in the conversation between Roslin and Caprica Six, when Six said she hadn’t had the visions since she’s been pregnant - I think there is some big foreshadowing there . . .

There’s been more reference to the Opera House… the scene in No Exit where Anders sees everybody bathed in light, before losing conciousness (and Starbuck being there too!), reminded me of the light from the Opera House.

perhaps we’ll see a jealous six. she had an important baby - the first cylon-cylon baby. and now that its gone its all back to athena and hera.

side note - im wondering if there will be any kind of reunion between caprica six and boomer - the two cylon war heroes from downloaded.

Well Athena turned her back on her people.
And since at the time Liam was becoming more important than Hera, I dont think Athena needed to be there.

What I wanna know is where was a Leoben?
Why wasnt HE invited?
The 8s at least got a representative.

Yuppers even Starbuck is bathed in light. Is that Ander’s brain freaking out because of the bullet lodged in his brain or does it mean something or is RDM is lodged in our brains and he is frakin with us.

True, but it seemed like the other cylons (the other 8’s at least) seemed to respect her for it. the scene in faith when they tell her she was the first to say no to the plan.

do the cylons have a plan? or does cavil have a plan?

does rdm have a plan?

They may have respect for her, but I dont think she has a lot of respect for them. She was kinda annoyed by the other 8’s

Or did Ellen program the Plan into Cavil when she made him? Grrrr… Argghhhh… brain hurts.

He better.

That’s what I was wondering too - all the Cylon pilots we see are 6’s and 8’s, same with the Galactica repair crews (unless I missed a 2 in there somewhere). Does the entire Leoben model want to hide away on the base ship?

Either they didn’t want to trouble Callum Keith Rennie with a minor guest spot so he could do a bunch of special effects work without any dialogue, or the Leobons are hiding out on the Rebel Baseship all smoking weed and trying to figure out who the frak Starbuck is.

Yes. They have their critical job of communing with the hybrid.

What if Leoben got the hybrid stoned?

And hilarity ensues…
