What's your Galactica callsign?

Well, on the bright side “Gramps” is one-syllable so at least it’s quick to say. “Gramps! Bogie incoming, off your left wing!”.

Another couple of Moby Dick/Trek tie-ins: The Moby Dick reference in ST:First Contact and Patrick Stewart staring as Ahab in a more recent version of Moby Dick (made for TV I think.)

I like it. A lot. Would give me the opportunity to respond “Eh? Speak up. Can’t hear you.”

Yep - Stewart TV version more faithful to the novel - but not nearly as mind fraking as the Bradbury version - which is no surprise of course.

*Note to deck-crew…set Gramp’s radio audio to “11”.

Yeah, but how are you gonna fly a Viper when you’re blind???

Starfighter

Here’s a cool one for anyone to grab:

Rashmeister

Somewhere, Captain America is laughing benignently.

HotPants sounds nice, how about ShortSkirt ?

Too short. Make it something like BarbieDoll

Lynx? Ugh. No, that sounds like a respiratory condition.

Icebox ?

What’d he say? Gramps is going to heaven? Fat chance.

Um, sure. You can explain that one to her GR ! :smiley:

Not going to go there. Not going to do it. Wouldn’t be prudent.

What are you two suggesting?
“Icebox” has a second meaning too???

<whistles softly to himself>

<stares at his fingernails>

hmmm, runaround ey? thanks but I think I’ll past. You only get one callsign, so make it count.

Dynamo? I look like one.

or Twister. HoolaHoop. Pin. Pointy. Gyro. Rotor. gaaah!

Toaster unaccustomed to wearing dog tags.
[Gave up collecting them previous war. Toaster friend now.]

TLT call signs: Scrapheap. Tin Man.
Deadeye, Cyclops, Buckethead acceptable, maybe too aggressive.

Chuck: Wizzard, Space Camp
Audra: Ice, Valkyrie
Sean: Padre, Hair Trigger

FTW. Well done.

Okay, forgive for being either slow or just overwhelmed, but

  1. TFG and FT, have you fixed your callsigns already, are you gonna stick to Buntime and Tiberius?

  2. Still unsure about mine, “Beaver” alone sounds a bit silly, but “Angry Beaver” might be too long. My avatar’s callsign is “Goose”, but I think it’d be lame just to copy that. “Tiger” sounds a bit short, too, but “Tigress” would be stupid.

I’m playing Audiosurf now, but will think about it in more detail later.

I still think Icebox just sounds cool, just like Iceman, even though I now know all its double and triple meanings. Thanks to urbandictionary.

Excuse me for being stupid, could you explain how that works just one more time?

I’m open to suggestions, but here are my picks:

RMHPH = Badger
Keara = Red Leader

It would also work if you’re very round. :slight_smile:

At least his GF’s not Robin. :eek:

Tremors.

Britney Spears?

Most things do.

In honor of my girl Seelix and due to the fact that I’m a SAHM and very adept at the washing & folding of laundry, I was thinking Scrubb’d might work for me. Maybe I’ll have fewer patrols?

Your confusion is probably based on me messing up some of the first ones. I have been going back and fixing them. The theory goes:

September 21, 2007 becomes 701290. Make sense? edit: Oh, and I add a letter for days where people joined at the same time. This mostly happened when the board opened up.

December 20, 2007 = 12/20/07 = 700221

edit: Yeah, what he said. :slight_smile:

The all seeing eye that is RonMooreHasPrettyHair.

Anyway, my vote for your call sign is Poofy.

Is that your final answer?

Maybe, but also it’s my understanding that in Europe, dates can commonly be annotated with the day and month transposed (relatively speaking), with the day noted before the month.
Example: 21/9/07 (as if they were saying “21 September, 2007”)

I’ve often run into this when making ads that run in foreign publications.
