What if 5 or 6 years down the road..

roflmao!!!

What about in 10 years or so someone or someones made another re-imagined Battlestar Galactica???

How about we find out what happened to the Centurions in the basestar?

Moore: Yeah. I’ve always wanted to do a Western.

He should totally re-imagine Firefly!!! Not that it really needs re-imagining in the first place, but still!

Cowboy Bebop is already being made and Keanu Reeves is going to be Spike (supposedly).

I suspect he means a straight-up western, but I’d love to see RDM do “Wild Wild West.”

It would be good this time, that’s for sure.

With the Cylons focused on hunting down the Galactica, what if there were other survivors who went in a different direction? Not everyone hooked up with Galactica’s fleet, i.e. the Pegasus meeting up later. A spinoff could involve that idea, or the people who were left behind in the Colonies. There were survivors on Caprica, what about the other planets? Maybe a moon or asteroid base?

I’m having visions of Deep Space: Tauron.

Prolly right… I’d love to see Ron’s take on a straight-up western, but sadly, that’s probably not gonna happen.

How about a show set in the relatively near future - this time it’s us at war with our own cylons. A space-faring 21st or 22nd century human race battling sentient machines it has created, running into the descendents of the centurions from 150,000 years ago. Then there’s Erf - D’Anna stayed behind there, so maybe her model found a way to reproduce itself. Survivors from Caprica? From earlier cycles? Could be a veritable cycle party out there. And we could have Head Six and Head Baltar, but I’d want them to be weirdo beings from an earlier cycle, not Judaeo-Christian angels…

As for (space-based) sci-fi and westerns, I guess it’s all about the frontiers and the weird, wonderful and brutal things that happens when people find themselves pushing into the unknown. A lot of common ground there, almost by definition.

I like this idea. It could definitely work.
But, who am I trying to kid, I’d of course watch any BSG sequel and hope for the best.

Maybe someone on something like Armistice Station, or a ship alone. BSG character keep taking off in ships alone & doing things. They’d have to die. Maybe a follower of Pythia who makes it to Earth alone (having been chasing the Fleet but never quite being able to communicate?) and meets up with Anders before the Sun gets him? Well, whatever, it got me thinking, maybe others will get thinking, too.

This story has been told, but there are other stories in the BSG universe that could be told that were only glossed over or referred to in the series. I would be interested in giving someone a chance to tell those stories. I think there’s plenty to say yet about the whole BSG universe.

I’d like to see them do Bulldog. He just kinda disappeared… maybe RDM could do 2 hours on him.

I believ Glen Larson is not done trying to get his own reboot of the original BSG made.

February 20, 2009 Just as the acclaimed Sci Fi Channel series “Battlestar Galactica” enters its final episodes, Universal has quietly entered into negotiations with Glen A. Larson to write and produce a big-screen version of the property he created. “Battlestar,” which originally aired on ABC in 1978, was produced in the wake of the success of “Star Wars,” which caused a sci-fi revival in popular culture. The survivors are led by a starship called Galactica in their attempt to find a mythic 13th planet named Earth.

not sure how i would react to that…the orig BSG is part of my childhood, but the new BSG is fantastic…

The farms were trying to make a male Starbuck clone so they could reproduce (eww) “purely”.

More seriously, Ellen’s story as to how she would up pinned in that rubble during the last war, when Saul had “millions of children” would be cool.

Geeks would have thought that Star Trek without Gene Roddemberry couldn’t be done… but everything he left got better!

ST 2 better without Gene.

TNG: better show after he was dead.

DS9 a better show and Gene had nothing to do with it.

I love RDM… but I don’t believe NO RDM no GALACTICA. He is, just a man.

I agree…

TNG: better show after he was dead.

That very well maybe…

DS9 a better show and Gene had nothing to do with it.
Better then what? Deep mall nine is the less entertaining than Enterprise… IMHO…

I love RDM… but I don’t believe NO RDM no GALACTICA. He is, just a man.

What blasphemy is this…

Oh, wasn’t it RDM that made your second point true?
