What do you think the head characters are? Multiple answers allowed.
I tried to include all the various theories being batted around. See also the "Are all Head characters the same entity?"poll.

I voted for the subconscious mind manifestations, though I was tempted to go with Head Lance.
I voted for a third-party entity, and I include head!Leoben, because he was both very important to the plot and behaved in a similar manner to the other head figures, pushing his person towards a goal with persuasion and projection.
Head Leoben’s the tricky bit. He’s the most clearly supernatural - Head Six’s Baltar lift not withstanding - as he lead Starbuck on the path that got her dead and resurrected. The question is whether he’s connected to Head Six and Head Baltar or are they opposed or even just ignore each other. I tend toward opposed but Sam’s got me thinking otherwise.
I think they are all Projections. I feel that some how Hera is not the first Hybrid and just like the Saying goes “this has all happened before” I believe the Head Characters are part of the blending that has happened before in a past cycle.
I find it possible to simultaneously think that the “head” people are manifestations of the host’s subconscious, and a manifestation of single exterior entity.
But when all is said and done…
FRAKKED IF I KNOW !!!
Hive mind tied for the correct answer!
Beings of Light (Angels) as a homage to the original series.
Kara ws a special Seraph that could be view by everyone.
From BattlestarWiKi:
The Beings of Light are a mysterious race that travel using the Ship of Lights. Called angels by the primitive people on Kobol, these creatures helped them develop the civilization that would become the Twelve Colonies (War of the Gods).
Apparently mistakes were made in the past by these advanced beings, as they seem reluctant to interfere directly with the Colonials or the Terrans. They help Apollo and battlestar Galactica save the Terrans from themselves (Experiment in Terra).
Count Iblis is a fallen member of this race, who has chosen to use his powers for darker purposes (War of the Gods). is the quote from BattlestarWiki:
Head Six and Head Baltar fulfill this role right to the Final Scene. I doubt anyone even Mr. Ronald (Hitchcock) Moore could see them reading his newspaper.
Has mankind of present day fallen so far from religion and been absorbed by the trappings technological advancement that they are doomed to repeat the cycle?

I think they are the LOK and they work for God.
My cat that I had from a child to after College, would have a very quiet high pitched sneeze. After she passed away I swear every once in a while I would hear her sneeze.
