What are you reading right now?

I’m a bit of a book whore…

I just finished The Hippopotamus by Stephen Fry. I’m rereading Fool Moon by Jim Butcher. I’ve got The Paradise War by Stephen Lawhead, and The Broken Crown by Michelle West sitting on my night stand ready to start. And I’ve got Star Trek: Federation by Judith Reeves-Stevens and Kobayashi Maru by Michael A. Martin ready for pick-up at the library!

Whew!

Just finished Turn Coat the new Dresden File book. It was excellent.

I forgot that was out already! Oh, noes! Something else to read!

Almost finished with Star Wars: Fate of the Jedi Book 1: Outcast. Not bad.

waiting for the new Star Trek new Frontier book. LOVE that series

Still working away at Neuromancer - I haven’t had any big chunks of time to read, sadly. I’ve also been reading Shadow without a name and another historical novel, too. Plus I have a Trek book up next after Neuromancer

I have just started reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince to get ready for the release of the movie in June. And I will go straight into Deathly Hallows when I am done if I have time.

Good lords, man. How are you spoiler free?

Trust Snape. (Not a spoiler, I was saying that from jump.)

Ok I should clarify my last post. I am starting Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince again This is my forth time reading it.

It is hard to go spoiler free on the subject of Harry Potter I would think that there are very few that don’t know what happened in the end.

I’m about 1/2-way through Watchmen. I like it lots.

Glad to hear that you’re only halfway through. It’s the kind of book that one needs to labor over. (in a good way. (sort of like when you finally bed that cutie you’ve been… OK, TMI))

I have just finished Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. So I am ready for the movie. I have started Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I wonder if Harry Potter would be in the running for a Podcast arc? I know it is not Sci-fi but it is fantasy.

Finished The Paradise War by Stephen Lawhead. Wonderful book! I love the weaving of Celtic mythology with the modern world. I can’t wait to read the next one!

Halfway through Star Trek: Federation by Judith and Garfield Reeves Stevens. I’m kinda disconcerted by the canonical issues. I know this came out before Generations and First Contact. But I’m having to resort to Memory Alpha to resolve some of the conflicts. But, it’s a good story so far, and I’ll get over it.

Also finished Turn Coat by Jim Butcher. I will say nothing except it was another superlative installment in the Dresden Files. Yeah, I cried.

I just bought a copy of Cryptonomicon that I’m quite looking forward to reading. However, I think I’m going to tackle Spock’s World (thanks 'talos!) first so that I can have something to say about it. Though this is all contingent on finishing my final paper.

I physically leapt when I read that.

Oh, I love that book so much. I was a math geek and a crypto nut when I read that book in college. I thought it was the awesomest book ever. My enthusiasm has waned somewhat since then, but still it’s a good read.

Just finished:
Wizard’s First Rule by Terry Goodkind
Priestess of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley
Tales of the Slayers by Joss Whedon
Currently reading:
Web of Darkness by Marion Zimmer Bradley
Up next:
Stone of Tears by Terry Goodkind
Ancestors of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley

(I tend to go on author sprees (like you couldn’t tell))

Kudos for nested parentheses.

Working on the Honor Harrington book #4 - Field of Dishonor. If I don’t hurry up and finish, the hubs is going to steal it!

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies…

…so THATS why there are british troops in the small town…

Oh damn, that’s out now? Gotta hit the bookstore.
