I agree that the spoiler isn’t really big news, particularly since it doesn’t tell us anything about the big questions, but it made me giggle because Jacob at Television Without Pity totally called it way back when Revelations aired (last paragraph of the recaplet).

If they’re going to come out weekly and there are going to be ten episodes, then there is no way those will be done prior to S4.5’s purported start date. Now, if the Powers That Be intend for them to run concurrently there could be interesting side effects perhaps.
From a less excited moment - it seems that the date still hasn’t been announced, with some saying mid-December and others sticking to the aforementioend January 15th date. Though 10 webisodes in 1 day? Really? That just doesn’t seem like a smart move for Skiffy. But then again, we don’t expect smart moves from them. Ever.

Since it was shown at “some Producer’s Guild event,” my guess is it probably is a really reliable source who was at the event. If it was RDM, they wouldn’t be so cloak-and-dagger about the identity of their informant–they’d put out the actual quote and let us all tear it apart to try to glean new Final Cylon theories from it.
I read that as meaning the webisodes would show up online starting in mid-December, and they would first air on TV on January 15. Even Skiffy isn’t dumb enough to make 10 individual webisodes and then not air them like webisodes…although I have overestimated their intelligence before…

I stand by it. He’s fed false rumors to the fan community before. Sides, if they IDed their source as RDM, no one would believe it for a second. That description is just, just believable enough. The rumor itself is also very believable, having been all over the community.
