Damn! I can’t believe I didn’t try and go over to the Lloyd center last nite! Its like 5 minutes from my house! AaAARGGGHHhhhh! I don’t believe that spoiler either, thats a significant change from the book, and Zack Snyder goes on and on about how faithful he is to the book.
I don’t buy it. Why set it in the '80s, reproduce sets and scenery shot by shot, and then screw with the ending in a dramatically significant way?

I’d say it was bupkis but everybody and their mother is now saying the ending changed to the same ending that was original described on IMDB.
I mean it could be a huge fakeout but…I don’t think it’s prudent advertizing to piss off your built in audience
I like to trade scripts, and for the GI Joe script I got the Masters of the Universe script, and the guy who sent it also sent me Wolverine and Watchmen.
Anyway- that’s the ending, at least in that script.
Also:
[spoiler]What’s kept: the characters agreeing to keep Veidt’s secret, Manhattan’s killing of Rorshach, and Manhattan’s departure of Earth. What’s changed is that Silk SPectre and Nite Owl decide Veidt needs to pay for what he’s done, and another fight ensues, culminating with Veidt being crushed by Nite Owl’s vehicle.[/spoiler]
I think the whole reason this was done this way was because the squid plot was so elaborate and involved that they had to alter it for the sake of running time.
