I watched the first season a few weeks ago and have only barely gotten into Season 2. So far I have to say that it’s mildly funny, certainly not THE GREATEST but sadly true. I could tell stories about the people in my guilds…

The best value to me is as an ex-MMO player. Six HARDCORE months of FFXI and then a few years of varying intensity of WoW. I should check out Season 2 tonight. I’ve got it all DL to my 360, so all I have to do is hit play…

EDIT: I actually got through most of Season 2. Tall lady is tall. Season 2 is also better than Season 1.

I don’t play MMO’s. I’d like to try one one day (beyond the Mass Effect a VERY patient Sean guided me through).

I just love The Guild. It reminds me of us really. I totally tune out my life when I’m on the forum or Tweeting with GWCers. To me The Guild is about community. We all want to feel part of one.

You can say the gamers are freaks or geeks, or that we are too, but last month, when I was waiting for ConnerAZ to come home from his first concert that he went to with a friend driving, I had GWCers on Twitter with me until he came home safe and sound. (Big shout out to ThotfulGuy!) That kind of community is priceless.

Plus, The Guild is funny as hell.

Yeah, I totally agree 100 percent. Along those lines, Felicia Day said something in the recent GWC podcast that I thot was very insightful and touching. (I’m paraphrasing here so forgive me if I misquote) She said that MMOs enable a community of people with similar interests to get together and interact and become friends, even when they aren’t normally people who would become involved with one another in the real world. As you said Dawn, that same idea applies perfectly to GWC.
