Wake up call?

So do you think RosDama have learned their lesson and will behave better now or will they go back to same old, same old?

I think they have learned their lesson (mostly because there are only 6 episodes left and there isn’t time to waste).

Lee as VP? Normally a nuthin job but with a dying leader…
Roslin steps down immediately? President Adama and Admiral Adama - not exactly representative.

The divisions in the RTF are going to be minimized so we can move on to questions about Final 5, Cavil, real Earth, finale.

I am amazed that there is no Baltar Option… that would seem like a legit option here actually.

I tried to say this in another thread about the government but no one noticed so here I go again…

romo…romo…romo…romo

Seriously.
Either him on the Quorum or him as President.
Omg President Lampkin.
That would be amazing.
Cool shades, long coats, and pens for everyone!

I hope that a major coup would wake up anyone.

I hope that they are awoken, but I think that they are so far gone that there is no way back. The fact they won might even make them worse now.

yes and no–I think Bill has had a wake up call and Roslin is gonna be business as usual.

They will have no choice than to try to find a middle ground since half of the fleet is against their actions. The best choice would be for Adama and Roslin to step down from office (anyway its what they wanted).

And they cannot execute or put to the brigs half of their soldiers (they are not enough). Except if they replace them with cylons (but watch insurrection 2 in two episodes if they do). They could maybe left a ship for the hardcore rebels to go try their luck on their own. But they can difficultly take the lack of personnel it would cause.

I’m going to hope yes. and that is what i think will happen. i dont think the writers will let something as big as this mutiny go down without an lasting repercussions.

Not such a bad or outlandish idea. I can’t imagine people wanting to crowd onto some little dinky ship like the Demetrius and go off into the void with no lasting supplies. But maybe they will do exactly that, and become another “13th Tribe” in the next cycle.

There’s preview for “No Exit” floating around, which I’m having trouble finding, that’s of a conversation between Roslin and Lee. She tells him that he will be putting together the new Quorum and that she feels it’s time for him to start doing the “heavy lifting”. Looks to me like she’s very much awake.

I hope they have learned their lesson, but I suspect what will really get them back into form is the return of Brother Cavil and an enemy against which they must unite.

You’re already right. He’s been around, been mentioned several times. And the rebels are being clear that the reason the want to be citizens is for protection from Cavil.

Hey I like that idea. Brilliant !!

I’ve go to hope everyone will now take a breath and realize how close to being gone the human race (and rebel cylons) are right now.

I thought this thread was about Chaffe/Jaffe dieing and who would bring Adama his morning green coffee (actually ‘There WAS coffee in the Ionian Nebula!’) and wake up call! Oh BTW Roslin does’nt call in the mornings anymore, she’s in the same bed

I have to imagine that this is going to change things. I think for Adama, it already did, they made him angry which really helped to get his attention. As for Rosalin, I think she may realize she needs to step aside, which she may be willing to do now that the person waiting to take her place is not Zarek. I have to wonder if anyone other than Zarek were VP, would she have stepped aside by now anyway?

Business as usual. The main issue behind the mutiny was that people didn’t want to have cylon[z] on the ships. Unfortunately for the surviving population, whether true or not, Adama sees those FTL drives as essential to said humans survival.

However, if Adama and Roslin have any sense, they will try communicating this much better than they have. I think they will, but overall, like I said, I expect business as usual.

Agreed. Their resolve has been bolstered, but they’re still going to push their way as the only way. You’re not about to see the Softer Side of Adama.

I just made a typo and noticed without the “a” at the end that it’s “Adam.” Am I really slow on the uptake?

You may have a point there. I just rewatched “Sometimes a Great Notion”. When Adama stopped her jog through the corridor, she offered to resign but Adama said he didn’t want Zarek anywhere near the presidency. To which, she said, “then the status quo will have to stand.”
