Ok, I sorely need the hive-mind help.
I want to start gaming. I need to know what equipment to get.

I know I want a Sony PS3 ( for various reasons), so that’s my starting point.
Where I am we have a Best Buy, Radio Shack, WalMart, GameStop.

I have a 32" HD TV and Bose headphones (not wireless) - that’s it.

For at least the next 2 years, I’ll be in this rural area with really crappy internet at home,
so I’m not looking for online play just yet.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Assume I’m don’t know much.
Speak slowly and use simple words :slight_smile:

Games I’m interested in:
Assassin’s Creed
Halo
Mass Effect
Elder Scoll
Journey

Even if you’re not playing online, you will want to connect to the internet at least from time to time for patches and DLC for games.

Don’t know if you’ll be able to get Halo games on PS3. I think that’s one of the few console exclusive game franchises left.

Thanks, Starsaber. I guess I can move my system to a friend’s house in town just to download patches, etc.
Ok I’ll keep that in mind.
