Is mirror universe Uhura hotter? or regular Uhura hotter?
unfortunately there aren’t many good pictures of mirror Uhura on the web. But regular Uhura sure was already HOT in the short skirt.

Now you’re talking. Technically we never met the mirror universe Uhura. We only saw the our universe Uhura in the mirror universe outfit. No doubt, the mirror universe outfits are hot. Who doesn’t love a cut-off midriff? But I gotta go with our universe Uhura. She smart, sexy, beautiful, and handles your calls. I hate the phone.
i am not sure on this, but according to Memory Alpha, mirror Uhura was transported aboard the USS Enterprise, and was subsequently locked in the ship’s brig. (TOS: “Mirror, Mirror”)

She basically protested with the rest of the mirror crew that Spock locked in the brig. Not a bunch of dialogue or character development there. So, I still gotta go with our universe Uhura. She a babe, yo!
you can see the celulite on her stomach in the mirror episode. She is a little ugly to me. She’s not thin, she’s a little old ( even in the 60’s), and she is too ethnic looking. I go for the new Uhura or Dee from BSG anyday.
She’s not malnourished, if you’re comparing her to today’s models (or, say, Racetrack.) I’m not sure what to make of ‘too ethnic.’ I suppose that’s just another man’s ‘exotic.’
Nothing racist or otherwise bad in what I am saying. It’s about what kind of girl I like. And I seem to share generaly the same opinion of most of the people I have met in my travels.
Too ethnic ( to me) means, I like black girls that look like Hally Berry, or Dee, or Vanity, or Vanessa Williams, or the new Uhura.

Nicols has a realy wide huge nose. her hair is really really not soft or nice at all. She is rather big, and she has a very “old school” black girl look. I ( as well as most fashion photographers today) find that look ugly. That’s why Queen Latipha never makes a list in Maxim.
Now ther is no racism in any of this cause I give props to Chili from TLC, and Apalonia, and Halley Berry, and DEE ( especially DEE… Yum Yum), and Ashanti, and Vanessa Williams and the list goes on and on. But Uhurah looks like the squeky voiced girl from the Police Academy movies. She is no Halle Berry!
Uhura has big nose? i suppose Nichelle Nichols does have a wide nose compares to most models. But you really can’t tell back in the TV series when the makeup they put on her delibrately makes her nose ridge looks thinner.
As Nichols gets older in the Star Trek movies, she stopped putting on such mke ups and it became more obvious. However, by then she’s a bit older than the other actresses you are comaring her with.
by the way, the idea of my polls are asking whether or not mirror universe characters are hotter than their counterparts. nothing’s wrong with comparing the characters with other actresses in here, it’s just the mirror characters are actually pretty different from the regular characters. it is fun to talk about those differences as well.
especially since some people consider bad girls as very hot, and most mirror universe girls are pretty bad sorrybarb.

I just commented on the Ugly cause that was an option in the poll. I would have went with mirror Uhura if it weren’t.
While there are advantages to having a smaller, wider nose (especially if your S.O. has a big ol’ honker) I don’t see that with Nichelle. She was filming TOS in the sixties, so I suppose you could call that ‘old school.’ (I’m not a fan of straightened hair myself, especially once I realize what it took to maintain it.)
I think I’m getting your ‘too ethinc’ aesthetic, though. There’s been a trend toward using models that are not as obviously one exclusive ethnicity (excepting the purely white models.) It’s a pity, because it narrows the talent pool.
Yeah, I got a private msg that someone sent me that basicly said that my comment was tacit racism… because I only like black women who look like “white women with tans”. She also said that I am pretty insensitive to any "wide nosed " people that might be on here. On re-reading my posts I realize that it’s a fair statement on her part. She could have taken it that way. So to any of you guys that read that… were turned off and didn’t comment, let me say that it’s definitly not racism that fueled my comment about nichols. ( I don’t think Nurse chapel looked good either.)
But it is fair to say that certain ethnicities have traits that are are appealing or not to different people. As an example the hair situation with Nichols, or the teeth situation with my british ex-wives parents. (Nobody calls you racist for saying that the brits tend to have some jacked up grills)
Let me say for the record. I think Dee is probably one of the hotest women ever and I don’t think that she looks all super “white” like Vanity or Appalonia. I think she has has black features… they just aren’t exagerated like Missy Eliot, or Kim Fields or Nicols. I don’t hink Dee looks white at all. If you show me a guy that says she’s not hot… that’s guy might not be a racist… but he definitly is an idiot!
Everyone has their preferences, to one degree or other. It gets tricky when you start to get into attributes that are ethnically-identified, but I’m hesitant to call ‘racism’ based upon who someone wants to frak.
To get back on track: since the Mirror Universe inhabitants are pretty much identical (aside from the odd scar) to their Trek Universe counterparts, the contest pretty much comes down to personality. And from what little we saw of her, MU Uhura was a nasty piece of work. Advantage: Trek Universe Uhura.
well the non-cannon DC comic has the mirror Uhurah being a NASTY individual. She also has lambchop sideburns in the episode.
