Torchwood fans threaten writers

Okay, the ending of Torchwood: Children of Earth was unexpected but this is a little much. I agree with Gareth David-Lloyd “That is ridiculous, It is just a TV show…”

Be warned if you have not seen Children of Earth the article has spoilers in it.

I can agree with the anger about the creative decisions in Torchwood 3, but not with the threatening. We all love our TV shows to be comfortable and cozy, but good story telling involves conflict, risk and pain. I cried my eyes out in Book 7 of Harry Potter, but I’m not mad at Rowling.

They should do like fans of Jericho…bombard the writers with tea and coffee!

While i’m a bit upset about the death of Ianto, I’m more upset that Children of Earth was probably the last we will we will see of new Torchwood.

But while I’m upset at the possible ending of Torchwood, threatening violence is really insane.

Yes, especially over Ianto.

Now over Tosh, I could understand…

Lets no forget that at the begining of TW, we found out the two other TW “offices” were wiped out, one way or another. The fact that we got to watch this one does not change the fact the TW agents die.

my opinion. FWIW… I think that RTD killed the majority of the team and got Gwen out of the way with the baby, and Jack “elsewhere” so that if there is a season 4, we will start with a new Team. Probably headed by that army women for Children of Earth, and have lois habiber as a team member. and then you always have the possibility of a cameo from Jack. without the HUB and without the returning cast, the cost of TW plummeted back into do-able for BBC. IMHO.

Intellectually I can understand why things were done the way they were. However I still don’t like it, not one bit. I have an intense dislike for “salt the earth” endings. That is pretty much what they did. Even if there is a miracle and the show comes back I may not watch it. I don’t like being abused by my shows and that was how I felt by COE.
