Y’know what I liked best? I was actually surprised by some stuff! Even with so much given away in the previews, I was caught off guard several times. Loved the scale of Engineering, never really thought they got that quite right before. A couple clunky lines here and there, maybe a weak villain, but overall a great ride. Must watch again!

-I read every spoiler, every early review, watched every released clip, poured over every still… etc… etc… and I was still surprised by A LOT.
-My hopes were sky-high… it surpassed them.

I’m going tomorrow (IMAX screen hopefully). Only reason I waited is that my parents are flying in to Orlando tonight (pure coincidence), and I figured why not go see it with them.

HOLY CRAP!
To say that my fears have allayed is an understatement. As people have have read on this board. I was one of the more how should i put it?. Pissed off fan with a phaser rifle.
Now after seeing it this turned out much better then I expected. Pegg was much better then i thought he would be. Though his best scene is at the end in engineering. Too bad about the Admiral’s dog.:eek: Did anyone notice the styling cues they incorporated from the movies. There is one big shot that floored me when I realized what he was wearing and why.
I will say that there will be a few movies and episodes that will never happen or will be much different now.
I just hope the Green Orion Girl got posted to the Big E or was in rescue pod. I want to see More and a lot less of her if you know what I mean.
This movie surpassed all my expectations despite NPR spoiling Nimoy/Spock… I mean NPR!?! WTF.
That Spockk did the “transparent aluminum trick” to Scotty was particularly amusing. For me there is only one word to describe my feelings about this movie.
