I heard he was going to be in this movie, and as something more than a cameo.

As many of you have probably guess…yes, Thor will be in IMAX 3d

It would be more of a surprise these days if a big summer movie wasn’t in 3D…
Has any one seen this yet? I’m going to see it tomorrow with my family.
My wife and I went to see this today and were very pleased.
Excited for this one. Thor was never a character I cared for in the comics. His dialogue was hard to read, because it’s all suedo scandinavian, and all the names of things are impossible to pronounce. To have the character done as a movie will make it very easy for me to figure out the backround of the character and his supporting cast. Hopefully after it’s spoon fed to me, I’ll have a better appreciation for the character and lore.
What a rip off. Thor wasn’t even in the movie.
Just kidding. It wasn’t quite up there with the Iron Man movies, but still pretty fun. And Jane’s sidekick had me cracking up pretty much every time she said anything.
Oh, and on the way out, someone behind me commented that Loki looked a bit like a young Brent Spiner, and I can see it. Maybe a nephew or something. Loki kept me guessing about his motivation the whole time.
First I thought he was just jealous, then I thought he was betraying Asgard in favor of his true people. Then my first guess ended up being right and he was actually setting things up to kill his own people so he could take the credit for it.
Oh, and I didn’t know Green Arrow worked for SHIELD.
It was actually really good, although either the 3d was terribly done, or my brain just isn’t wired right for it in general. Probably the lightest of the Marvel movies so far, which worked surprisingly well and im really starting to get hyped for the Avengers. Don’t fail me Whedon!!
Although my sparse knowledge of Marvel characters was strained when I spent about 20 minutes trying to remember the difference between Hawkeye and Bullseye…
loved, loved that movie…they actually nailed it
altought i do have an interogation…
seeing how powerful Thor is…once he whips the hammer out…why does he need the other avengers?
Why does Superman need the Justice Friends? Everyone has a weakness. Sometimes it’s Kryptonite, sometimes it’s pride.
Different subject, anyone looking at Mjolnir and thinking about how it might be a fun prop art project? I’m thinking… milled steel with a poured lead core, perhaps… <strokes goatee speculatively>
Love the Idea only issue I have there is. You would need to be built like him just to hold it.
Yeah, it had me guessing too and I was wrong. I thought it was your second guess.
I went into the movie with low expectations because of what I’ve seen with production stills, I was underwhelmed. In the stills, the costumes look lackluster. But on screen, they looked great. I was pleasantly surprised with the movie overall. Because I went in with low expectations, I have to see it again to get a sense of how I really feel about it.
One thing I will say is the teleportation effects were ossim. The other effects were great too.
Bad thing was the 3D. I went to see Imax 3D. I wish I could have seen it just in Imax. No one else seemed to get it right except Cameron for me.
