I love the vampire effects. They really did a great job with them.

I gotta say, I was a bit iffy about Ian Somerhalder’s character at first, but I really enjoy him. He’s all snarky, like a dark-haired Spike. 
OK, the bit with the drink was great. I’m liking Damon more and more. He’s just deliciously evil and way too smart for everyone else’s good.
