Night, 'Talos! Sleep well!
Assuming this story is told from Agent Kujan and Rabin’s point of view, all we know to be actually true is:
- The five were rounded up, put into a lineup and interrogated. We don’t know what transpired among them or whether they even ever saw one another after that day.
- The robbery of NYPD taxi actually did take place. We don’t know if it was Keaton’s idea, or that it was even them who did it. It may not have been.
- We know Edie Finneran is dead.
- We know Verbal was apprehended near the harbor after the shootout, and he made a deal with the DA to walk away with just the weapons charge.
Anything else we absolutely know to be true?
Good night, dude!
Poor Talos. Shat happens. Good night!
THERE. ARE. FOUR. LIGHTS!
That also occurred to me for the first time with this watching.
- The fax in the last scene, it shows a balding man, yes. But it also looks like an older balding man, and with narrower nose. Looks more like Kobayashi than it does Verbal.
And, assuming we can believe anything from the “flashbacks”, the older man has a discernible (although hardly Hungarian) accent, while “Verbal” does not.
- Why would Keyser Soze risk himself getting arrested and spending time in police custody? Why not just send someone else for that part?
Assuming he did, his power and influence might extend far enough to safeguard his escape. Or he’s just confident that he’s that much smarter than the cops.
- Who killed Edie? Wasn’t Verbal in police custody when she died?
This one bugs me less than any other question. An international supervillain could certainly manage one little murder outside his presence.
Which means:
a. Soze doesn’t exist, and Kint knows it
b. Soze does exist, but Kint believes he doesn’t.
c. Kint works for Soze
d. Kint is Soze
- Have any of them have been identified as being among the casualties as of yet? All I really remember is them mentioning a kid coming across a body on the beach…
Good point. All of which was probably the point of burning the bodies in the first place.
<picard>You know what chain of command is? It’s the chain I go get to beat you with if you don’t…</picard> Oh, wait. I might have mixed that up with something else. Nevermind.
Maybe you should see a doctor.
Take pictures first.
The answer to the great question of life, the universe, and everything is 42?
bwhahaha
Good night 'Talos! Dream of large bandages!
Kobayashi mugs are poorly insulated against sudden floor contact.
“Bye~~ have fun storming the harbor! Think they’ll do it?”
“It’ll take a miracle.”
“No one would surrender to the Dread Pirate Verbal.”
Orcas of Unusual Sizes? I don’t think they exist.
Let me put it this way. Have you ever heard of Lex Luthor, The Joker, Blofeld?
Yes.
Morons.
It was Firefly. No worries.
you guys kill me
Thanks! I knew I’d heard it before, but I’m not very good with quotes, sometimes. Too A.D.D.
btw, why did we end Izzard Wednesdays before Sexie? watching it now–very funny (and good sound quality :D)
