Artificial humans. Machines that rise up. Humanity in peril.
Any of this sound familiar.
Bruce Willis is in something called The Surrogates that the trailer says is based on a graphic novel.
Check out the trailer.
I think the clip looks fun. (Of course, it all could go horribly wrong too.)
Anyone else?
The last Starship Sofa has a review of the graphic novel. It sounds pretty interesting.

I just stumbled upon this trailer while search Apple’s web site for the Sherlock Holmes trailer (cannot wait for that!!). Anyway…
I had not heard of the graphic novel nor of the movie being made. I’m intrigued by the trailer, I’ll definitely be checking it out.
Was gonna start a new thread, but decided to search first (as always, some GWCers were in the know months back). I just got done reading the comic, and it’s pretty good, although it was a bit predictable who Steeplejack was gonna turn out to be.
The official site looks good… the trailers are now on TV… the release date is soon to arrive (9/25/09)… anybody else read the comic yet, or planning to see this?
Watched this with the wife the other night, really enjoyed it. Would be nice to see it made into a TV miniseries, there certainly seems to be enough personality to the characters and enough detail in the surrogate society/daily life to go pretty far with.
I wonder what some of the surrogate social no-no’s are? Is it bad manners to ask someone what they look like IRL?
I don’t think I could stand to live like this indefinitely, no more than a day or two. The thought of it gives me the heebie jeebies!
