If he’s directing, will it be like Star Trek V? d:
It’s a subject he cares about…
I can’t beleive I kissed you
Must have been your lifelong ambition
…The Undiscovered Country
…so true
To answer the article’s questions:
What do you think?
OSSIM!!
Too much Shatner, not enough, or just right?
Are you kiddin’? There can never be enough Shatner.
Do you think he’s the right man to direct a documentary about himself?
Ummm, it’s Shatner!
I hope he interviews himself in that comfy chair on the ‘Raw Nerve’ set.
You can get a preview by checking out Star Trek Memories. I listened to the audiobook which he reads himself. Surprisingly he spent a great deal of time alone during those years in Canada and in the states at Desilu, missing his family and commuting home on weekends. Weeks after the last episode of Trek wrapped he was living alone in a camper staked out in theater parking lots and charitable people’s driveways, while acting in various plays from town to town. Actors worked like dogs back then for far less pay. As long as the roles kept coming they kept working and did not take time off.
Shatner can come across as very… bizarre on television. In his books, he’s lucid and unassuming. Maybe it’s just the ghost writers.
