The Secret of NIMH 1/14 @ 10 PM ET

That needle scared me as a kid.

“Courage of the heart is very rare. The stone has a power when it’s there.”

“What is The Plan?”

“You better leave that cape. It could get caught on something.”

He makes his excuse for getting her naked sound just so plausible.

Or, he heard of the Incredibles. d:

Or Watchmen.

This is a remarkably violent Disney movie. I’d forgotten about all the murders.

Oh ok! I remember now…

Yeah, more violent than Tron or Lion King…

Precious!!!

You got the touch! You got the power! Yeah!

Based on the novel Push by Sapphire!

Yours was a better pull.

I had completely forgotten the plot except for bits and pieces. Holds up well against time.

I think I like this better than Ratatoille.

I wish there was a better explanation of the apparent magic. Was the amulet really magical, or was it some kind of rat super-science?

Maybe both. Midway thru the movie I became sorta annoyed that the rats progressed further than humans. But, we really dunno the technological level of humans in this movie.

Really? Despite the similar themes of super-intelligent rodents, they’re very different movies. I really wouldn’t even attempt to compare them.

BTW, I’ve been looking over that recipe throughout the day and really regretting that it’s the middle of winter. Getting good ingredients would be nigh-impossible right now. :frowning:

Or, because we dunno the time scale either. Rats could learn/live faster/longer. They have extended lives.

We know they couldn’t repair a shrew-damaged tractor in under a day.

Not really comparing them. Just general feeling. Like I liked Reign of Fire more than Dragonslayer even though they are very different movies.

And, I’m not one to ask/talk about food. Maybe ask on Twitter?
