A David Boreanaz Model for me please!
liked the show, thought it was good, just don’t see it lasting more than two seasons without jumping that damn shark, but that’s up to the writers still pretty damn cool for now.
coarse i’ve watched T2 about 30 times, somehow i’ve never watched T1. so i’m partial to the story.
Maybe they can do like BSG and just plan a coherent story arc – be it two seasons or however long – and do it, and do it well. I liked tonight’s episode, too, although it was more slow paced than the first two – but the character work was really strong, I thought. I love
Cameron trying to fit in at a high school!
No show must last forever. From what I saw tonight I think two seasons would do justice to the story. Tonight was the first episode that I got to watch. It was quite good. Of course, prior to that, what was watched was Delta Farce followed by Antique Road-show. All in all that was an interesting mix.
Summer Glau seems to have been typecast perhaps?
I enjoyed the pilot, thought it was pretty good - but each episode since then IMO has gotten just a little worse. I dont see it getting renewed for a 2nd season. But Im also one of the few who actually really liked Terminator 3. Im not holding out much hope for Terminator 4 though even though I am a Christian Bale fan.
Really? That’s fascinating. And I say that with all due respect. I’m always fascinated by how sequels work from different perspectives.
Wanna know how T1 ends?
The pilot wasn’t bad. I liked the story concept of bringing it into 2007. I agree that it doesn’t have much of a chance beyond 2 seasons. I’m hoping though that those two seasons are full seasons and that the last episode ties everything together, rather than just sputtering out.
They’re two very different films. The feel is different, the direction is different (even though they’re both Cameron films). IMO, T2 is a better film by far. It’s been a while since I’ve seen T1, but the way that I would compare them is to say that T1 is almost like a thriller/horror and T2 is more of an action film.
Just finished Monday’s episode, with the Titanium caper, or whatever the stuff was, and the bomb shelter, and the guy from Deadwood. I’m liking the show. Already like it more than T3.
Summer Glau is good. In like three or five ways.
I think they need to have more than 3 characters and a villain or two. May’be get a resistance group going. One storyline is a rough to stretch over an hour.
I’ve seen the first few episodes and they were better then most TV…
Here’s something… Have you heard about the possible real-world time-travel scenario going on in Switzerland later this year? I heard about it on the BBC last week.

However, they are talking about the unlikely possibility the supercollider might propel some sub-atomic particles several picoseconds (one trillionth (10-12) of a second) through time. Nothing about flesh covered combat robots with nice abs. Most of the discussion seems to be how you can tell if it does happen.

Good point. Looks like they’re maybe heading that way.
I like the good cop-bad cop thing Sarah and the Terminator have going on. Also dig the FBI agent’s workplace dynamics.
I only saw the second episode so far, bit of the same feel as the Bionic woman. Gota say I like this better. Ladies are better to look at as well.
Wow! how do you even begin to measure that short bit of time? Do they have photo finish cameras incase the guy watching the stopwatch was asleep at the switch?
On another note related, i heard on a recent NPR, This American Life about a guy who lost his father at a young age, and all his life devoted his study to time travel. he was legit and at 55, developed a paper on the subject that was taken very seriously in the science community. He also recently realized the machine, if worked, would only transport an object at best to when the machine was created. it does sound like what you described is being tested across the pond.
Was this the same episode which used part of the Studio 360 show on Nicola Tessla as its third act? I listened to the podcast of that This American Life and then that afternoon caught the full Tessla episode on the actual radio. That was cool. Did you know that Tessla and Mark Twain used to sit around shooting each other with the ray gun that Tessla invented? Huge, MASSIVE amounts of radiation straight to the face. Maybe this explains why Mark Twain was so eccentric?
I <3 TAL and Ira Glass.
I saw a “T-SCC” commercial last week and the announcer said that Summer was “not your average toaster”. Nice
ok, i’m up to the last episode now. I have to say the following:
-
the first episdoe sucked. at first it was really cool, because i haven’t had a terminator fix until the last movie, and i was happy to see any terminators, but then i realized; summer gave the worst rendition of ‘come with me if you want to live’ EVER. Also, i found it strange that she looked, acted, walked, talked like a normal girl until the other terinator tried to off john, then she turned into the cybog. Very strange. hope they have some way of explaining that because it makes no sense whatsoever. that being said…

if you discount (or just don’t watch the first episode), from episode 2 on, the acting & story are 100 times better. cameron is better as a hot terminator and not the ‘thing’ she was in episode 1. The writers are getting a grip on their characters, and the show is better every episode now. The flash forwards are great, the terminators are great, and i know those things can be expensive to do. hope this goes on a few seasons at the same rate it’s going now.
I liked the finale quite a bit. I hope that Fox picks it up for more episodes, and we’ll hear an announcement soon.
I also hope Brian Austin Green sticks around!
While, to me, it did start out a bit slow, wow, it just ended in such a awesome way. I want more!
I think producers should just stop pitching their stuff to fox. American idol is making them laz (fox i mean)
I love it!
