and we have our first elimination… best of luck in your Future Endeavors to the Detroit Red Wings…
if you had told me two weeks ago, we’d outlast the Red Wings and be in better shape then Vancouver, San Jose and the Penguins, I’d have slapped you in the face…it’s a shame the first round is dying down this is always the most awesome of the hockey’s…
Yeah, this first round has been a huge shake-up. What makes this year’s line-up especially awesome is the natural rivalries that have matched up for the first round. That Phili series is absolutely out of control! Vancouver is now in a really bad situation with LA. The goalie change is a front page headline around but in my opinion, won’t change the final outcome of the series. They’re in a nice break in the series so hopefully they can get some practice time with Daniel Sedin and bring some extra offensive power to the next game. I don’t have much hope though, a four game comeback is tough, and LA isn’t a pushover team, clearly.
Stanley Baratheon is currently at Dragonstone.
Oh…wrong topic, sorry!
the scary part is Pittsburgh looks primed to make the same comeback…unreal :o
Here’s the million dollar question…IF Vancouver even pushes it to a game 7, is Luongo done in Vancouver? And more so…who do you send him too? Toronto? Tampa? For Loungo’s sake I hope it’s Tampa, the pressure in Toronto will make him melt before Armageddon Day in December…
(having the Sedins back is a game-changer in the series…but I think LA is too good to lose 4 in row…)
Who’s gonna pay for him?
Both TB and Tor are DESPERATE for goaltending…Toronto more so…and they have a goalie coach that worships that soul sucking, life killing style…errr the butterfly…and Tampa was just gawd-awful with a 42 year old and a never-was in the pipes…I’d put them both as the favorites…maybe Chicago too, just off the top of my head…but not likely
If they were to make a half decent offer to Luongo he’d probably sign away his existing contract and play at home, yes home, he still lives in Florida and just commutes across the continent to play hockey. This is a huge selling point that won’t go overlooked to him. Tampa Bay is in a good position to scoop him even if it’s for a pay cut.

Luongo is signed through eternity (literally)…that’s the big problem with trying to move him…
That was the crux of my criticism above.
oops, misunderstood
the cap hit it tolerable…the years…not so much
there’s also a possibility with the CBA up this year there’s a buyout period, and he gets bought out…
Holy frak I have to bump this thread because I haven’t been as impressed, overwhelmed or in total awe of the potential and the promise the Devils are bringing to the table and I am TOTALLY geeking out about this!!!
They learned so much from the first series. They’re playing hungry like they haven’t played in years.
I’m happy that the Rangers made it to the second round. It’s nice to be still around
Rangers eat nuts
Well it’s been nine years since they made a run…about damn time they got hungry…it’s just amazing to watch…between them and the buzzsaw that is the LA Kings, this 2nd round has been really special to watch (it usually isn’t)
Ouch. I can only imagine if I said I was a Flyers fan
Lol just kidding, it’s from the Pucknuts podcast from the smodcast network.
No offense, I should of know Smith would be behind it. It’s certainly more amusing than what my friend calls them, the Strangers.
Flyer fans were too busy beating themselves up on the way home last night…leave it to Phily sports fans to justify their rep (it was all over my facebook last night…amused the heck out of me!)
