The Place Promised in Our Early Days Frak Party 4/5 @ 2 PM ET

In this animated film, Japan is under two regimes after the country’s loss in World War II. Hokkaido remains under Japanese rule while America holds the rest, a bitter division that’s wrenched the nation and left its citizens confused. Curious, Sayuri and her pals decide to build a vessel that would help them investigate a looming tower in Hokkaido, a plan they abandon when Sayuri falls ill. Is there a connection between her coma and the tower?

The Place Promised in Our Early Days

I’ll begin at :15

The animated lighting is incredible in this movie.

Ahhh, how sweet.

The Foley artists also did a great job.

Sorry I’m late. Time check?

Sayuri is a hot name.

Im at 13:30, started at :15.

Have you scene this before?

It means “small lily”.

Nope, never even heard of it before. Beautifully animated though.

I’m just a few minutes behind you, so close enough.

I think I first fell in love with the name when I say Memoirs of a Geisha.

Yeh, It has mostly been a few scenes of them growing up and then meeting again.

Looks like there are still macs in this history.

That’s awesome, he makes it just in time to grab her and they both fall in.

1.3 mm is a good start.

So this is some kind of alternate timeline, with Japan split in twain? Civil War?

Just in time to pass it on.

Parallel worlds are the universe dreaming, nice.

Bigger than a grain of sand. Sounds like progress in… whatever the hell it is that they’re doing.
