The People VS. George Lucas

Finally.

Do you think George Lucas is “the Antichrist” and “a little devil disguised as a false prophet”? Or do you believe he’s “unlocked a generation’s imagination”? Either way, the new documentary The People vs. George Lucas, which debuts at next month’s South By Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival in Austin, is going to be a must-see.

Some may feel, “Do we have to go over this again?”

I say, “Yes. Yes, we do.”

I want to see this immediately.

Seems interesting, but I wonder if it will be a balance portrayal of the fanbase, or a one sided thing either portraying the haters as nutjobs or lucas as the worst man on the planet.

I personally dont give a crud about who shot first, CGI, jarjar, etc etc.
All I care about is the craaaaaaappy actors they got to play Anakin.
Just uuuugh.

the entertainment world is full of ups and downs. i don’t know what people get so uppity about.

UPPITY.

Yeah. I hope it isn’t too biased (interviews on the street, conventions, etc.). I hope they express the pain in an intelligent manner. Clips of comedians (Kevin Smith, et al.) is fine but, to be honest, we’ve seen them. We know. Show us something compelling and new about the subject, if that’s even possible. Stars Wars, like The Beatles, has been talked about to death and should be.

Okay everyone I think I need to turn in my geek card. I just now looked it up and realized that I have never really known what “Han shot first” was about…:o

OK, Missy. Here’s a copy of Star Wars, no bloody Episode I, II, III, V, or VI. Now go to your room and watch. Now, I mean it!!

Rofl. A New Hope if you’re nasty.
