I know this is bias but she has the best costume I can see. I love that it’s original. My daughter asked, “Who’s that?” I said, “Trixe the Halloween Fairy.” She replied, “Cooool. I like that.”

My eldest designed her own character with a backstory and everything. Dusk used to be a movie actress who starred in famous horror flicks. One day she was attacked by a mad scientist who tricked her by saying he would give her the moon by using his moon ray. Instead he turned the ray on her and she became Dusk, a mutant witch.
The reason I know this. She told everyone we stopped at while trick-or-treating. I love my child. When asked where her broom was? She replied, “I don’t need a broom. I’m a mutant witch.” She ended every encounter with, “Thank you for the candy.” Then she would stare at them, wave her hand and say, “Have bad dreams.”

It poured down rain here so we didn’t have many trick-or-treaters. But there were a few Star Wars characters at least, which warms my little fangirl heart.
Yeah. I know. She’s a riot. My wife and I were trying to contain our laughter.
It didn’t matter how many times I told her that she didn’t need to explain it to everyone. She ignored me. Gotta admire her perseverance and desire to stay in character.
