The Movie Quote Game

“Oh bliss! Bliss and heaven! Oh, it was gorgeousness and gorgeousity made flesh.”

It sounds like a comedy, I keep picturing Stephen Furst saying it… I don’t know why, maybe it seems like something flounder would say, or even Vir when he was courting that woman on B5.

Wow, I was certain it was the bit when the containment grid was turned off.

(My bad, I use “dang” instead of proper swears…)

Don’t know the “gorgeousity” line, but it sounds vaguely familiar…

Now that I think about it, it almost sounds like a ‘Wash’ quote too…

Hah! I hadn’t thought of that, but it does have a Washiness about it.

That was driving me nuts till it hit me. That’s Alex describing Beethoven Ludwig Van- ‘A Clockwork Orange’.

“Drifting through eternity will ruin your whole day.”

Its got something to do with a disaster in space, its not Apollo 13… the verbiage is all wrong for their time period. But it is a realistic space drama. Maybe Red Planet, or that better one with Gary Sinise… Mission to Mars. Definitely not Event Horizon… And it is tonally wrong for Dark Star too.

I am going to go with the two Mars movies for now until something else comes to mind.

Heh, the old ultraviolent.

Yours is from one of the Mars movies that came out earlier. Hmm…Red Planet or Mission to Mars. Ummm…I think Mission to Mars…I think.

Jinx!!!

Great minds think alike!!

You are both correct with ‘Mission to Mars’.
Hitting the target by throwing a plethora of darts is the closest I’ve come to stumping anyone.

And it almost worked! Omra’s post beat me by seconds, deserves to put up the next quote.

If you’re frightened of dying and you’re holding on you’ll see devils tearing your life away but if you’ve made peace the devils are really angels freeing you from the Earth.

Sounds like something from ‘Ghost’?

I’m pretty sure it isn’t Ghost, and it rings huge bells… Gah!

The Matrix?

City Slickers.

I can’t believe I got THAT one. A friggin’ Billy Crystal movie. BLECH!

I suck at this. Hard.

Ghost is close in terms of genre…

Hint: it was released in 1990

I gave up and cheated. Cue facepalm.

I got nothing on this one. :frowning:

Me too. I’ve seen it, but I honestly don’t recall that line.
