The Movie Quote Game

SF,Fantasy and Horror Movies. Correctly name the movie the quote is from and you get to post the next quote… and so forth. (No googling please)

Ready?

Heres the first one, I’ll make it an easy one-

“Maybe they couldn’t figure out what to make chicken taste like, which is why chicken tastes like everything.”

Have at it!

Yay! A Game! ‘The Matrix’

Wanna know something freaky? I read chicken as children and couldn’t for the life of me figure out where it was from. So I read the line again since it sounded familiar. facepalm

Here’s one from a film I hadn’t seen in a while and watched recently.

“Pathetic earthlings. Hurling your bodies out into the void, without the slightest inkling of who or what is out here. If you had known anything about the true nature of the universe, anything at all, you would’ve hidden from it in terror.”

That sounds a lot like Q! But you said ‘movie’… Maybe it was Ming the Merciless saying that in …fah…fah…fah…fah FLASH! Ahhhhhh!

Heres one from a favorite of mine-

Character one: “If one receives evil from another, let one not do evil in return. Rather, let him extend love to the enemy, that love might unite them.” I’ve heard all this before… in the human Taalmaan.

Character two: Of course you have. Truth is truth.

Great film! Enemy Mine.

“Are you hungry? I haven’t eaten since later this afternoon.”

Damn! I keep thing of the Flash, with his sped up metabolisim… he was always eatting. Aaah… ‘The Fly?’

I asked a friend thats over for dinner but he is sure it is a movie called “primer”

“they don’t have meetings about rainbows.”

Nope.

Wolfgeek got it. Well, the friend did.

Anyway, I should know this quote. Craaap.

‘A Scanner Darkly’?

I believe it is The Sixth Sense…

How about this one-

I think I could turn and live with animals. They are so placid and self-contained. They do not lie awake in the dark and weep for their sins. They do not make me sick discussing their duty to God. Not one of them kneels to another or to his own kind that lived thousands of years ago. Not one of them is respectable or unhappy, all over the earth.

Hint-(A crappy remake was made a few years ago)

I could have sworn we did this game after the forum opened, but I’m unable to find it.

Never mind me, carry on.

Is that from The Wicker Man?

How about this

“No, I’m a meat Popsicle.”

Yep, that is from the original film…

Is that quote from ‘Forever Young’? Just kidding, um… ‘Dark Star’?

Fifth Element.

Here’s a really tough one.

“They flap their meat.”

Audra in GWC Podcast 200? :stuck_out_tongue:

Craaap! I shoulda known that.

I’ve never seen it.

That’s easy. The Fifth Element.

Hrm, let’s kick it old skool.

“There can be no understanding between the hand and the brain unless the heart acts as mediator.”

I was wondering when we would stumble all over each other. There ain’t no token to pass.

Metropolis! Film class pays off.

“I haven’t the faintest idea, but this stork is quite tasty isn’t he?”

Yeah, I think we did. Although I seem to remember it being limited to Firefly/Serenity quotes.

Coco’s stumped me already. Damn!

Good job, coco!

Craaap! Another one I feel like I should know. I hear Michael Caine in my head but…this not using google thing is rough. Google is my drug.

Anyway, Pike still has one standing.

Unless Uchiha got it already?

That was it. Shan Yu posted a thread called, ‘So you think you know Firefly?’

Children of Men

You really should have that checked.

this not using google thing is rough. Google is my drug.

Anyway, Pike still has one standing.

That quote is the only one’s that had me tempted to cheat. No idea.

Ah! Of course. See I knew Michael Caine said it and I figured it wasn’t from the Batman flicks.

The voices in my head say, “No. No you shouldn’t.”

I know. It’s got me. Let’s try and narrow it down. Pike, what decade is that from? Is it from a movie, comic, radio program, stone tablet? giggle Is it written on your lawn?
