Sam, can we NOT tell him the plan?
How many dead Rangers are out there?
Same here, I loved the character Faramir in the book.
heh.
maybe Frodo knew Gollum would babble something about the ring and thus give away their mission, and that was why he lied. hmm…
Like I said, I really want to read these books again.
I totally understand. I feel the same way each time I watch the movies too. Maybe you will find time this summer?

I love how the ents are all unique, almost like racial differences.
I feel bad about rereading stuff right now since I have a pile of about 20 books that I haven’t read yet. I may read them next anyway.
One could make a fortune as a Tree Plastic Surgeon.
Well they do represent each variety of tree in the forest.
More of a sculptor than a surgeon
I met the actor, Bruce Hopkins, who plays Gamling. Funny man, he tells some great storys about the filming of these movies.
I wonder what the Tree version of a supermodel is?
A Birch tree.
Now this part of the movie disappointed me. Don’t get me wrong it’s beautifully done. But the battle for Helms Deep was a huge victory for men that they survived fighting alone. For me it took away from that to have the Elves join in the battle.
Is it just me, or are the mannerisms of the Elfkind very… Vulcan?
It can’t just be the ears, right?
Not just you…it’s the extremely controlled emotions…and the ears.
I was thinking the exact same thing. The whole story is about men coming into their own and taking charge of the world. And now the elves are still holding their hand.
See, I rather like that they fought together, one last time.
