ah bummer I’ve never gotten around to watching any of these. Gangster movies have just really never been my thing. I liked Goodfella’s but I know people who are obsessed with these movies & I just don’t get it. Of course they don’t understand my obsession with Star Wars.
Give GF a watch and join us for GF2. The GF movies are just gangster movies, in the same way that Lord of the Rings trilogy are just a fantasy movies, and BSG is only a scifi show… 
This might be a good time to check it out. The Godfather series is a great set of movies about a family, that happens to be Mafia, not Mafia guys who happen to be family. My Mother, who is very Italian, (both of her parents came over from Italy) would not see it for years, because it was a slur on the Italain people. then we made her watch it and she fell in love it, because of the Family stuff.
second point… have you ever watched or read anything just because the ‘hive mind’ said it was OK, and you realized you had been missing something cool? this may be one of those times…
