Not sure. I think I’ve mentioned it before, but if not: I worked in a porn shop (actually two different ones) when I was in college. So that sentence wouldn’t really stand out to me as unusual.
And it’s not really mainstream, per se, but certainly not nearly as fringe as it once was. Once they found their market (no doubt with the help of the internet), the production values really improved.
