It is interesting to see the Admiral literally going down with the ship… A the Galactica’s bones (hull) continues to deteriorate, it is a nice beat to have Adama increasingly be deteriorating as well with the drinking and the pills.
I can see the two going out together.
At the end of the day one cannot exist without the other.
Thanks for reading
Your on a roll!
I hate to sound like a broken record but I agree with this as well.
I think they will go out at the same time…
Galactica was meant to be sent for retirement; so was Adama!
I think it was interesting that the Galactica was made flawed because they cut corners snicker
And Adama is veeeeeeeeery flawed.
Oooooh … I missed that!
Which begs the question - in a world without square corners, would you use (or even have???) the phrase “cut corners?” I mean, if cut corners are the norm (just look at their paper … and no one can tell me that engineering printers to feed octagonal paper was easy!!) then is cutting corners really short-hand for deliberately shoddy workmanship?
It’s the little things that make me go hmmm.
… and that keep me on my medication.
Very interesting. The correlation (physical) of ship and commander makes me think of Laura’s conversations with notElosha in “The Hub,” though Laura thinks that equating a community with its leader is pretty self-centered of her subconcious
I brought this up in the thread about podcast 151. The parallels of him using drugs to keep going and now he needs to allow Galactica to “take drugs” as well to keep going.
I think so too.
