I saw the '51 version the other day. really liked it. not convinced Keanu has the gravitas for Klaatu, but I’ll give it a shot :smiley:

See, this part of the movie makes sense. This would be a more logical reaction by our government to such an event, just as the response in the original would have been typical for the times as well.

Still, though, this version is… lacking. :frowning:

I thot the '51 seemed very ahead of its time–perspective-wise. reminded me of some of the Twilight zone parables on xenophobia
