Futurama fans watching the new season will recognize Elizabeth Mitchell’s “Little Bird.”

She’s one of those rare artists who specializes in kids’ music, but transcends the genre. I don’t have the album with “Little Bird” (You Are My Little Bird, it’s called), but the You Are My Sunshine LP is swell. Includes a nice verison of the Electric Company “Ladybugs’ Picnic” song and “Here Comes My Baby,” which you might recognize from the Rushmore soundtrack.
As long as we’re talkin’ Futurama tunes, here’s “In the Year 252525.” I’m not saying it’s the best episode ever, but it’s my favorite:
